Mexico’s Best Kept Secret!

An incredible city for “foodies”, artisians, and history enthusiasts! UNESCO world heritage site of Monte Alban is a must. Also, a visit to the 2000+ year old tree is a great afternoon! Great walking city and friendly people! Learn about Mezcal and find your favorite!! Oaxaca City is one of our favorite destinations!

The room had a leak from the roof next to the bed and the hotel staff gave us towels and basket to put on the room to catch the water, the bathroom has a window broken with a starry glass.
Not a very good experience to be q Marriot hotel and for the price of the room. I do not recommend this hotel, better hoteles around for the price paid.
Super bad experience and the worst part was the support from the staff to solve the problem.
Better to Look for another choice! 👎👎

Good value for money

The hotel has a very good design in the common areas but the rooms are quite austere. The hotel has no rooms with exterior views, all rooms are overlooking the hotel's interior courtyards. There are also rooms with a single window to the hallway. Upon arrival we were assigned a windowed room to the hallway. These rooms are very indiscreet as anyone who passes through the hallway sees the entire interior of the room. We asked to change rooms and were given one overlooking the patios.

The hotel and the room were really nice, the design was lovely and the courtyard was a nice place to eat and drink. It was quiet in the room too over our 5 night stay. The area is a bit out of the town centre but there are lots of great places to eat and drink nearby so you don't need to go far every night and the area feels safe and social. However, we felt the hotel was overpriced compared to other hotels on our trip, as breakfast was not included and there was no coffee machine or extra bottled water in the room (just 1 little bottle of water per guest a day). We had breakfast one morning but it was a lot and not especially worth the high cost.
