Location was so ideal, walking and close to mercados and zócalo… the staff are helpful and humored my attempts to improve on my Spanish. Would return to hotel on my next exploration of Oaxaca

every morning different and super delicious breakfast included , staff very very friendly, excellent location, clean room

Uncertainty

Good afternoon.
On this occasion, I must issue a warning to all those who intend to travel to Oaxaca and stay at this hotel. I mention the "warning" because on June 11, 2026, my sister-in-law stayed (or attempted to stay) at this hotel; when she received a call on her cell phone originating from the reception of Hotel Trébol. In that call, a man told my sister-in-law that a "checkpoint" was currently being conducted at the hotel to "detect any irregularities in any of the rooms." That it was not necessary to open the doors when someone knocked; that it was only necessary to answer a few questions. Subsequently, the first person who called my sister-in-law began to ramble and transferred the call to another person who reaffirmed what the first person said but added that if necessary, they should enter the room to confirm that the information being provided (by my sister-in-law) such as the number of people, origin, purpose of the trip, among other things, was true. That they were part of a "group" that was "protecting" them and that they should not be afraid. Obviously, my sister-in-law and the people with her contacted the reception (a woman) from the room phone to inform her of what had happened, who commented that she would get in touch with the hotel owner to inform him of what had occurred. My sister-in-law chose to leave the hotel and return to her place of origin. I must mention that they had not been at the hotel for even 24 hours and they preferred to leave and return to their place of origin.
There was no response from the hotel owner.

Great place in the center of touristy area. Breakfast was fantastic! Would definitely stay again.
