A quiet hotel. Excellent for your visit to Oaxaca.
The cleanliness of the facilities is also outstanding, even the care of the plants is meticulous.
The breakfasts are delicious.
I highly recommend staying at La Catrina de Alcalá.

Best location, service, atmosphere, value in Oaxaca City.
From THE MOMENT I BOOKED my whats app questions started and did not stop. Every idea, every question, every request for special services and transportation was met with expert advice and welcome friendliness.
Leidy is THE MOST amazing associate ever. The housekeeping manager was WONDERFUL and Karolina was awesome. Every single front desk gal was great. Rocio Gomez was helpful and wonderfully responsive on Whats App.
I would imagine I am one of the most highly communicative, most interactive guests any hotel could have and La Catrina de Alcala was above and beyond.
The room, the restaurant fresh tortillas, amazing menu with specialty (Isthmus!) and classics (so good) and SERVICE at the restaurant - explaining all the items I was curious about even with my terrible Spanish.
The QUICK whats app answers, the amazing location truly I cannot say enough and I will never stay elsewhere. I could write an article on this hotel and now certainly consider it to be MY hotel in Oaxaca, forever.

Friendly staff and location is amazing
Overall everything fine with the staff who were very friendly and got us taxi for our return, there were only a couple of things we didn't like.
- We were left the same towels 4 days we stayed, the first time this happens to me on a trip, in the bathroom there was a sign that said for extra towel was $50, which is not specified on your page and well you realize until you arrive at the hotel, or if they say it the truth I could never read it.
-Also a day before we left we advised the reception that if he helped us with the taxi, soon we left (it was already night) and when we returned we saw that they had entered the room, because the cleaning lady came in to leave an envelope and that we leave a gratuity. I don’t mind being asked for $$, I was disturbed by the fact that it was already night and the lady came in as if nothing had happened to the room, which she could have done early when she went to clean it or in her case, she should have left her envelope with the person at the reception and she could have delivered it to us since they have 24hrs service.

1.- CON RESPECTO AL CAMBIO DE TOALLAS, EN LA HABITACIÓN HAY UNA TARJETA DONDE SE EXPLICA DEL NO CAMBIO DE TOALLAS DIARIAS, PERO TAMBIÉN SE ESPECIFICA QUE SI USTED NO ESTÁ DE ACUERDO , NO LOS HAGA SABER Y SE LE CAMBIAN. NO RECIBIMOS SU INDICACIÓN PARA CAMBIAR LAS TOALLAS
CON RESPECTO A LO QUE USTED COMENTA DE UN COBRO DE TOALLAS DE $50.00 PESOS, IGNORO DONDE LO LEYÓ, PORQUE NO TENEMOS NINGUNA TARJETA INFORMATIVA QUE DIGA ESO.
2.- CON RESPECTO AL SOBRECITO DE PROPINA SUGERIDA A LA CAMARISTA , LE OFREZCO UNA DISCULPA POR TAL HECHO DE LA ENTRADA DE LA CAMARISTA POR LA TARDE, EFECTIVAMENTE EL SERVICIO DE CAMARISTA ES HASTA LAS 4 DE LA TARDE Y YA NO PUEDEN INGRESAR A LA HABITACIÓN, YA TOMÉ CARTAS EN EL ASUNTO CON LAS CAMARISTAS PARA QUE NO VUELVA A SUCEDER.
GRACIAS POR EXPONER SU INCONFORMIDAD, NOS AYUDA A MEJORAR CADA DIA Y DAR EL MEJOR SERVICIO.

Solid choice in the centro. Clean and Quiet.
There are no exterior windows, that is the way most of these were built. I was a little disappointed that the rooftop was not open (that is why I gave this a 4.5 stars) because it would have been nice to visit in the afternoon.

In reference to the roof toop , you can go and seat and rest there, the thing is that we do not have bevereges service at the afternoon.
