Decent Digs, Great Location--But, the Street Noise
I stayed at Suites La Concordia for 4 weeks. (I was enrolled in a nearby Spanish-language school). The hotel is in a great location. Lots of eateries within a few blocks, there's an OXXO convenience store downstairs, a great panadería (bakery) a block away. And, a friendly lavandería (laundry service) a block over.
All rooms are on the 2nd floor, no elevator, and no onsite restaurant. The beds are comfortable, and the air conditioning is quiet. Hot water works, but sometimes it takes a minute to warm up. There's a rooftop terraza and a tiny gym with 3 machines.
Rooms #9 and #10 are the noisiest. (They overlook Avenida 11 which is busy bus route). Rooms #3 to #8 are a bit quieter, but they face Calle 3. But, if you can snag them; and to preserve your sanity, #1 and #2 are inside rooms and are the quietest). (Both have small windows, but they're mainly decorative). The air conditioner in #2 has a water drip issue. (Hopefully the hotel figures out the issue).
The place is secure, you have to be buzzed in/out. There's a security guard after hours, and I'm not sure how well the staff speaks English.

I was very excited when I made the reservation, but when I arrived, there was no elevator. It was not indicated on the website. The room looked very comfortable and the kitchenette was cozy. Except there were no towels to dry the dishes. There was no information on where to get ice and yet there was a ice bucket there. The room was SO NOISY! Even with the windows being “sound proof” it was SO NOISY! Housekeeping was only doing beds and replacing towels. Everything else was FILTHY! The tables were not wiped off, the floors weren’t really swepted or mopped. The entrance was great, it was secured always, but if you were returning in the evening there isn’t enough light outside. Which made me a little nervous. Yes, you have to ring the bell in order to be let in. This would be better if there was a well lit entrance and/or if you can use your room swipe card to swipe yourself in. I always asked my Uber driver to stick around until I was let in since it was dark. The entrance lobby could use a huge facelift. The furniture eas outdated and torn. The WiFi was HORRIBLE! Get ready to use your data minutes. The roof/terrace is not at all like the pictures on the website. All there was were some metal benches and a few potted plants. I really think the pics for this property really, really need to be updated. I was deceived. I don’t thing I would’ve have stayed here if I knew all this issues were active. Inaccurate description on so many accounts. I decided to leave 2 days early because

Disappointing
The staff were helpful and pleasant, checking in and out was fine was fine.
Good location. Easy taxi from the bus depot. No view. The bed was comfortable and the bedroom quiet. The kitchen wasn’t clean. There were crumbs in the placemats, the one and only mug was in the coffee maker and hadn’t been cleaned after the previous guest. The odour from under the kitchen sink was so foul I only opened that cupboard once and placed garbage elsewhere. One of the 3 glasses was chipped. There were no towels for drying dishes and I was told they don’t supply them. The bathroom shower was tricky and I wasn’t able to get a constant stream of warm water. There was a layer of something dark along the bottom of shower doorframe,mold?

My son and I have stayed here twice.
Both times the service was great, housekeeping wonderful.
Having the bedroom separate from the kitchen/dining/living areas was great.
A 24hr convenience store (OXXO) was just outside the front door, and a large grocery store was four blocks away.
Overall, a great place to stay.
