Bellissimo hotel sul lago Bacalar

Questo è un bellissimo hotel direttamente sul Lago Bacalar. Hanno canoe e paddle board da usare. Ci sono un buon numero di sedie a sdraio e aree per rilassarsi in riva al lago. I giardini sono ben tenuti e carini. Il ristorante è molto buono. Il bar prepara ottimi drink. Tutto il personale è stato molto gentile e disponibile. L'intero hotel era pulito e pulivano le camere ogni giorno. C'erano solo 2 aspetti negativi per noi per l'hotel. 1) L'hotel non è facile da raggiungere per chi ha problemi di mobilità. Le camere in cui alloggiavamo avevano dei gradini per entrare in bagno. Tutte le superfici calpestabili sono irregolari. Nessun corrimano. Per molti questo potrebbe non essere un problema, ma mio suocero ha avuto qualche difficoltà. 2) La TV in una delle stanze non funzionava. Il personale ha provato più volte a risolverlo, quindi il personale ha provato, ma mio suocero era senza TV durante il nostro soggiorno.
Ma abbiamo apprezzato il nostro soggiorno. E se non hai problemi di mobilità, possiamo consigliare questo hotel.

Excellent option facing the lagoon, ideal for families and children

We stayed at Wayak in a group of five people (three of them seniors) and the experience was very positive, especially for the comfort and tranquility of the place.
The location is a great success: being practically on foot from the lagoon makes all the difference. Being able to get out and have the water so close, in such a serene environment, really invites you to slow down and enjoy yourself without haste.
In our case, traveling with older adults, the hotel proved quite suitable. Although there are stairs, the fact that it only has two levels makes it manageable and does not pose a greater challenge.
The family room was very functional for us: three double beds, air conditioning (key to the climate) and a small kitchenette with refrigerator that allowed us to organize better during the stay.
It is a great hotel, comfortable, well located and thought to enjoy Bacalar in a relaxed way, especially if you are traveling with family or with elderly people.
The excellent breakfasts, we appreciate the attention of Juan, attentive at all times.
Overall, a very pleasant experience and an option we would definitely consider again.

Beautiful scenery, pleasant and relaxing landscaping, the room was comfortable with amazing views. The breakfast was delicious

Lousy service.

We stayed at this hotel for only one night, a family of 6 people, upon arrival the reception boy was friendly and we changed our reservation to "all inclusive" for one night,
But here comes the bad thing, when we are told that food is served until 9 pm, at 3 in the afternoon we are told that there is no longer service, there were other people in the restaurant who asked for service from 1 and never took the plate, the boy told us that there was no chef and almost that we did it as we wanted, obviously we demand the service or refund, which they also did not want to give us, later someone else arrived and told us that because of changes of administration they had this drawback, but now I start reading the comments and no. They are not good, the next day for breakfast we had to order it very early and took 2 HRS to serve , this is too long, the food is not bad but the service is abysmal , too slow, the hotel are not bad, but I get expensive for the abysmal service they give , the view of the lagoon is beautiful, pity that they do not know how to take advantage of what they have and have the worst service, just so I will not stay there again.

Our room was very high up (about 20 feet). There was no railing & a hole in the deck. We went for dinner to their restaurant & waited a long time to be served ( we were the only ones there). We changed rooms to a better room. We had a kitchen like area with a large counter, but no rag to wipe it. The cups supplied were paper cups, same ones for a 2 night stay. The beach area was very nice. I do think this place is over priced
