Disappointing hotel that needs improvement
Many of the rooms have windows onto the echoey corridors, not to the outside, although the building does have windows at the front. In the early hours it is noisy as people come back late, or check out first thing, and you can hear the phone ringing in reception.
The room I had was on the small side but was pleasant enough. There is a roller blind on the window to the corridor. The bathroom is small but workable, although the shower door leaked. The most bizarre thing is that when we complained to the receptionist about the lack of hot water she said we needed to ask to have it turned on, even though she had checked us in and we all looked like we needed a shower!
Breakfast was disappointing: granola, small cups of chopped guava, dry scrambled eggs, meat of some description, and pancakes but no maple syrup. There was a toaster but it seemed not to work as there were two pieces of bread in it and nothing happening. There was butter and one kind of jam. No fruit juice and the coffee was incredibly weak.
This could be a much better hotel.
