Definitely worth the price! Amazing staff and location!
Right so we were lucky enough to find emotion hostel as it’s location is fabulous but is tucked in between a souvenir shop and an Italian restaurant. We were met by Marco one of the managers who was friendly and helpful throughout my entire stay. Staff were always happy to go above and beyond and their ability to speak several languages proved helpful to us and other travellers. The deco is unique. The rooms are absolutely fine and there is tv and ac. The bathroom is tired looking but again worth what you’re paying for and there is hot water.
I want to say a huge thank you to all of the staff especially the Italian managers and the Colombian member of staff who also helped us throughout our stay.
I didn’t eat breakfast from the hostel only because it did not appeal to me. If there is any room for improvement it would be breakfast. I recommend that breakfast is not included and that is charged separately whilst the breakfast menu to include fresh juices, fresh bread, fresh butter etc.
Also the members of staff know a lot of the sellers, tour guides etc so they will always point you to the right direction or facilitate tours for you.
Cheapest bike hire in Tulum too!

Stole my wallet and my money!
My wallet disappeared,we were looking for it until we found that one of the RECEPTIONIST HAD THE WALLET IN HIS ROOM ?? His excuse was he was keeping it for us, but...he did not accept he had it until we asked him several times. The story does not finish here, the bank called has that we had been charged 5 times more for the night. $500 for a stinky noisy room?

A nice stay
The hostel had some interesting characters but for the most part my stay here was very pleasant and offered showers, washrooms etc. The beds were comfortable and room was very clean upon arrival. The wifi struggled at somepoints however the communal spaces had good wifi. The staff were simply amazing and helped me to schedule a tour to Chichen Itza which was great. The breakfast was very minimal but filled the void.

Robbery in the locker
Unfortunately, we didnt have a nice staying while in the hostel. My friend and I arrived very late at night and after checking in we asked to use one of the lockers near the reception. The following day when we were about to leave my friend checked her wallet that was in the locker and all her money was gone. There were two holes there which one of them was connected to the toilet of one of the guest room. The owner, Antonio asked for one of the employees to fix the locker right away, after showing us videos from the security camera, . He was very positive about the robbery and basically blamed the couple in the room, showing us their names, where they were from and telephone number. He told us he would talk to them as soon they were back to the hostel. He offered us to stay there for free for a few days, but of course, we didnt want to due to what had happened plus the place itself was dirty, filthy and with a very bad vibe.
We left and when my friend started to talk to Antonio through whatzapp he was a completely different person questioning if we really had that money there and told us he could do nothing about it and even made a sarcastic joke saying we could go the public ministry.
It is a shame such behavior as the hostel has totally responsibility for such thievery.

Hello Andreza, how are you? We regret your bad experience, it only remains to clarify a few points.
1: The hostel prices are among the cheapest in Tulum, when you arrived at the hostel you were shown the room and the price was given, it was not a surprise for you to accept it without any problem.
2: That same day the honesty of the clients that you want to accuse was put to the test, it went straight and clear with them because of the attitude they took, it is more than clear that they did not take anything, the cameras were checked again, they had not access to your locker, that same day was put to the test we left money to check if they had stolen and the surprise is that the money the next day was with those we were with the assurance that they were respectful customers.
For your information complaints are made to the public prosecutor, there was no sarcasm from Mr. Antonio.
Mr. Antonio changed his position since talking to the staff of the night there were quite strange things. The boy of the night mentioned your position and your arrogant and humiliating attitude on arrival at the hotel mocking his person.
The smile he had was for the surprise on your face when you heard the prices of Tulum. Tulum is a tourist village and the prices go up in the high season and nevertheless we still have the cheapest prices, it would be more reasonable to be well informed before traveling.
3: The day of your arrival you can clearly see that you open your locker and take something out and go straight to the street with your friend, the cameras show it. We do not know if you carried your wallet and you lost or spent all the money, the hotel does not know what state you came back that night, but for you it was better to point out and raise false accusations.
4: The hotel was put at your disposal showing you the videos of the camera, we have been working for two years and it is the first time it happens. We will not be the most beautiful hostel in Tulum nor the most luxurious one, but we make an effort so that the client leaves satisfied and happy and they are goals that we have achieved day by day.

A bit run down but great staff
A bit overpriced for what it was, but at the time I was in Tulum, the only thing left. A lot of noise from the bars at night and a little run down, but the staff were very helpful and friendly and also cheapest place to rent a bike I could find. Breakfast was pretty underwhelming too.
