Restaurant review only

After wearing ourselves out Coba, we were hungry but did not want to eat right near the entrance. We chose this place merely on group consensus. The food was good. From where I was sitting I could see the same woman who mans the store downstairs, cook our meal! Everything was fresh and the same woman was happy to answer our questions about local life. This is NOT a luxury eatery with linens; don't come here if you expect that. It's very basic but clean and welcoming.

Not so bad fot the price

was here in 2016, unprepared. so we had to take a hotel. we picked this one. it was ok for one night, clean, but do not expect anything special. Good food, friendly owner/staff. (We forgot our Phone charger :-(.)
The ruins off Coba are SUPER

Not many choices in the village ...

There is indeed limited competition in Coba and likely limited business as well as most people come to see the Maya ruins without staying overnight. The price for a double room end december matches the price we paid on a beach front hotel at the coast. It was however an experience including the fact that it gets really cold during nighttime. A decent free wifi, the inspiration to talk to very local people, good food (no wine though- we brought our own) and the convenient location if you want to see some of the oldest Maya buildings in the world BEFORE the rush starts at 10.

Good but basic

Generous room, large shower room. Sheets slightly nylon feeling. Decor a bit dated. Clean. Perfectly fine but unrefined. Staff lovely but with very limited English. Generous breakfast (not included in the price).
Fine for what we paid.

Good but room not cleaned

Hotel is perfectly decent and the room is a good size. The air con works well and the owners are very friendly. The price is good for the room as well as the cost of breakfast and dinner. The Coba ruins are about a 4 minute drive away - if that.
We stayed two nights and the room was not cleaned which was a shame.
