Wonderful stay at VR Club Tulum
We just returned from our stay at this hotel with my daughter.
We had a very nice stay at this hotel.
Nothing to complain about regarding the cleanliness of the premises, whether it be the room or the common areas and gardens. We saw plenty of animals, from raccoons to iguanas in the garden, to the turtle that comes to lay eggs on the beach.
The entire team is truly charming, and everyone is ready to do whatever it takes to be pleasant to us.
Special mention to Eliseo, who took great care of us. The meals, whether at the buffet or à la carte, were well-prepared, varied, and excellent.
The manager warmly welcomed us and was present every day. He did not cease to be attentive to us.
Unfortunately, the beach is full of sargassum. (A dock might be very practical?) But the pools, loungers, and facilities make us forget about that.
At the end of the road, the colectivo is accessible to go to Tulum or Playa del Carmen without breaking the bank.
We return rejuvenated and rested.

The third time in Mexico and in this hotel it was best
We had a really great stay at VR Club Tulum and honestly can't understand many of the bad reviews.
The rooms are very nice, modern and clean, with large, comfortable beds and a rain shower where you feel really comfortable after a day at the beach. The hotel complex is beautifully landscaped, very well maintained and quiet, with three great pools. Almost every room has sea views, which is just fantastic.
Yes, there are little things: In our bathroom, for example, a toilet brush was missing and some days there was a little less choice when eating. But honestly – that hardly matters, because everything is absolutely coherent.
A real plus is the super fresh coffee made from whole beans – with a wide selection from cappuccino to latte macchiato to iced coffee. For coffee lovers really top!
Big praise to the hardworking gardeners who make sure that the seaweed on the beach is removed again and again every day – you can see how much effort the hotel puts into it.
The staff is fantastic throughout: super warm, attentive and always in a good mood. We would like to highlight our waiter David and the yoga teacher José, who offers stretching, aqua gymnastics and yoga every day – professional, motivating and with a lot of heart.
The animation is mostly French, but is always translated into English and you are actively integrated. We enjoyed this surprisingly much.
Directly at the hotel there is even a small reef with colorful fish, ideal for snorkeling. SUPs or kayaks would be a nice addition – then it would be perfect.
It says online that you can change money at the hotel – unfortunately, that worked only to a limited extent. For this we were allowed to stay very long in the room at no extra charge, which we really appreciated very much.
An important tip: Be sure to book a private transfer from Cancun, otherwise the regular transfer can take up to 3 hours.
I’ve been to several hotels in Mexico, even with more stars, but I personally liked this hotel the best – and I’m really very picky.
We would come back anytime and can absolutely recommend the VR Club Tulum. ✨

UNFORGETTABLE!
A fantastic resort with polite and attentive staff. Before choosing it, I read all the reviews, which were excellent. I read a recent review of La Gale... I don't understand how people can write such bad reviews. Nothing they've reported is true, as I and the many other reviews can assure you. I will gladly return. Thank you all.

Worst Resort in Tulum
Don’t EVER come here!!! We came here to celebrate my birthday and it turned into a disaster. For one, we booked all inclusive double room sea side, when we arrived to the Hotel, they were out of what we booked and put us in a queen bed room(no compensation for booking a different type of room). The biggest mess up of all was our reservation didn’t include ALL INCLUSIVE, it only included breakfast. The staff didn’t try to accommodate us at all, no manager no nothing. Once in the room, we had no wash clothes, we had to shower with the medium size hand towels, we asked for wash clothes on several occasions and was ignored each time! The ocean is hard to access because of the seaweed and the smell on the resort smells like sewer water. The room was hot even when we put the air on 16 degrees, it didn’t help. And today (Saturday) as we were coming back, the young lady at the front desk stated they were going to charge us $20 per towel, because we had turmeric on the towel. Ok….. I get having to pay for the towels, but these are very cheap towels that didn’t cost $20. So in total we have to pay $60 to replace three towels that’s thin as paper!!! We will never ever come back to the VR CLUB and I suggest you don’t either!! Hotel never tried to make things right as if they didn’t care.
