Amazing hotel

A beautiful spa hotel, impeccable facilities, lovely decor. I really recommend it I never imagined it to be so pretty.

To rest super comfortable

Super nice classic place with good service the morning is the best thing you wake up with. Birds, their greenhouse is the best. The bad thing is that they don't enable the pool and the spa is super hidden. But it is very nice, it is the best hotel in Zimapán And you go directly to the marble park

Very nice surprise!

I was very surprise because I didn’t know about this hotel, we were close by and looking for something around and this is how we came here, the place is very clean, the food is very good and the price too. The swimming pool outside was cold probably for season, but they have a nice one at the spa, the only problem I seen here is if you are with kids they can’t access to the spa area.

Exclusive hotel in the middle of nowhere

We stayed at Hotel Royal Spa because we found ourselves in the middle of nowhere while it was getting dark. The only hotel nearby was Hotel Royal Spa. We were extremely pleased with everything. It was reasonably priced, had nice pool and a playground for our 6 years old to play at. The breakfast was probably one of the best meals we had on our entire trip. I wish we had more time to stay and enjoy the spa facilities. Hopefully we'll be back!

Incredible, well designed place but very poor service

The good news is that this place is great. It's beautiful, historic and tasteful. The spa is nice and the restaurant is pretty solid.
The not so good news is the other staff. When we checked in, there was a light problem (and it was their fault) and the response was "We're full. There's nothing I can do." After a little digging it turned out there was something for him to do and he finally did it but after making everyone feel bad. There was no apology.
I struggled up the large staircase with my bags with the reception staff watching and no one bothered to tell me there was an elevator!
Twice the room was never cleaned. Mistakes happen but the response from reception was more accusatory than anything else and again, never an apology of any kind. I asked if I could at least have two new bottles of water, he said yes and then they never came. When this happened a second time I was less pleasant and demanded a discount, which I got.
Reception is from "receive". How do you want to receive your guests? You want them to feel welcome. You are the hosts. I watched another man check in and there's this moment within the first 10 seconds and you wonder if you've made a mistake. Was booking this hotel the right thing to do? The job of the reception staff is to confirm that yes, your booking was a great day and welcome.
When things happen, the first thing you do is apologize. "I'm so sorry about this. Let's see what we can do...." would be so much more effective than a grunt.
There are other small issues and normally I wouldn't bother but this is a great place and I'd like to come back. I doubt I will and that's too bad.
Management needs weekly training to make sure the staff understands understands the vision of this hotel.
