Rozaje restaurant

Excellent local food, great service with a waiter speaking very good English. Very reasonable prices. One of the best food we had in our Balkans trip. I strongly recommend the restaurant. (we didn't stay at the hotel.

Disreputable

We arrived at this place (which is a huge silver glass building out of sync with everything else in the region) one evening after a long drive and enquired about the price of a room. Initially we were given one relatively low figure and we came back later after a walk around and suddenly the fee was over three times higher, with no explanation. On both occasions the lights were off in the hall and we were greeted by unprofessional staff with no uniforms who sat around all evening and treated the place like a hangout. We left. The rooms may well be nice for all I know but the character this outfit showed was very poor. Sadly it is the only large hotel in the town (though there is a perfectly nice little place on western end of the town on the main road, where we eventually stayed); I suggest staying in another town or over the border if you are in the area for walking.

nice place to stay

You can't miss the hotel: due to the unique design the hotel must me the most modern looking building in this part of the world.
The rooms are clean with aircondition and TV. Unfortunally it was difficult to find an english speaking person. The hotel is located in the center of Rozaje with a lot of bars and cafes around.
Breakfast was okay.

Strange in Rozaje

Good standard hotel, quite new and fresh, at least for provoncial place like Rozaje. Here praize stops. Arriving to closed gates, then to dark reception where men in jeans and leather jackets, some unshaven, were attending. Very unlike hotel staff. Not one word of English. Low season and obviously saving. No heating, no internet, very few tv channels, only hot water twice in the day. Climate system shut down. No heating in common areas, not possible to be there. No ligthing either. Resataurant closed as all other things at hotel. Better to close completely if no aminities can be offered. At euro 50 per night, no, I absolutely do not think this was good value for money.

A Hidden Gem

We stayed here for 1 night in July and had an excellent time. I don't suspect that many international travellers pass through this way given the lack of airport and efficient transport links but we wanted to stop somewhere between Kosovo and the Montenegran coast rather than take an overnight bus.
The English-speaking receptionist, Dina, is an absolute asset to the hotel. Upon email contact she booked a room for us and called the bus station to help us plan our arrival and departure (information we were finding very difficult to obtain online). During our stay she acted as translator with all the hotel staff (waiters, masseuse) and called to reserve a place on the bus for us.
The hotel itself is beautiful with stunning rooms, high quality fittings and a relaxing spa. It also seems to be the focul point for the small town with locals filling the outdoor terrace and the hotel nightclub crowded at night.
We would strongly recommend the hotel - especially for the friendliness of staff and the affordable luxury of the room.
