A trip to total tranquility.....
Linda picked us up at the airport and we had no idea of what to expect. What we got was beyond expectation. Luke's Place is truly beautiful, the accommodation was lovely and the staff so friendly. Linda, was an amazing host.....friendly, kind and available with any advice we needed. Ivo, brought us freshly baked pau (bread) every morning and we would give him money to buy seafood and were served the most amazing dishes of prawns, crab, fish and rice whenever we wished. Sitting on the veranda and looking at the trees in the beautiful garden, the sand, the sea and sky, the peace and tranquility renewed my Soul. Thank you for this. We will be back. Letitia Collins. A really good beachfront accommodation
Not a hotel, just a lovely small place with three accommodations, one two bedroom villa in it's own garden with a plunge pool and two smaller villas, bedroom, kitchen area and outdoor space sharing a lovely small swimming pool. We had the villa for two people. Fully equipped to self cater if you wish, full cooker, fridge freezer, microwave, utensils and dishes. No restaurant so we made easy breakfasts and ate out at night.
The units are immaculate, ceramic tiled floor, great shower room, plastered walls. Secured mosquito net windows let in cool breezes at night so no a/c. Right on the beach which is 5km long, great walking and sights, thoroughly recommend.
But,
A meal to be made by one of the staff, Ivor, a lift to a supermarket possible or a boat trip to the islands with him. Were these provided services for some, obviously paid for for others or just for tips? How much? Because the meal attempt with us was a hard sell overpriced attempt. It would be nice to have more information about these things when checking in. A page on recommended restaurants and some taxi numbers was all that was in the room.

Lovely stay, we felt safe and well taken care of.
Linda is a wonderful host. The villa we stayed in is well equipped and the staff is friendly. The kids loved the coconut drinks the staff made for us, the pool is lovely and refreshing. There are some power issues in the area, but they do have backup power to minimise any disruptions. The locals are very friendly, we felt welcome and safe. We were picked up at the airport, then went to Spar (which is modern, clean and very well stocked) to buy groceries and Linda took us to a smaller shop later during our stay to ensure we could stock up on anything we needed. We did a lovely trip to a nearby island with Sailaway, which Linda helped organise for us. Would definitely recommend for a relaxed family stay.

Delightful villa in Vilankulos!
We had a delightful visit to Luke’s place! Linda was a lovely host and made our visit wonderful. She picked us up from the airport and was more than happy to schedule activities for us through her extensive network in vilankulos. She also was very dedicated to ensuring our safety during the recent political instability.
The only had two minor issues during our stay. Due to very hot weather, the ac in the villa had trouble keeping up, so it was often quite warm at night. Additionally, there are some ants by the pack porch and pool that bite, so be mindful of them.
That said, we’d recommend her villa and hospitality to anyone.

An oasis right on the beach
My husband and I spend our vacation in one of Luke's place's two bungalows. The bungalow has a great location overlooking the sea, in a beautiful garden with pool. The bungalow has only one glass front at the entrance area, the windows are open but all protected with mosquito nets. In addition, a large mosquito net is attached over the bed. It is very clean, the kitchen for two people very well equipped with gas stove and refrigerator, as well as coffee powder, salt, pepper. Linda and her friendly staff make you feel at home and give tips, support at all times. She has booked tours with trusted providers for us and is extremely helpful. Behind the bungalows is a public path, but as soon as darkness falls hardly anyone seems to use it. It's quiet at night. The large garden area can be used, on the veranda it can sit nicely.
