2020 Birthday
Best hotel stayed in Lagos so far. Very good mattress..very clean and modern bathroom/shower. Great pleasant staff. Food was ample and fresh. No mosquitoes to worry about. Closet was clean with hangers.Blessing and Femi were a gem with customer service. I will be back

Operational inefficiency
There were quite a number of issues with this hotel, and unfortunately, they overshadowed the few positives.
Pros:
The hotel is located in a quiet residential area, which is ideal if you value peace and minimal noise. Additionally, the staff were polite and genuinely tried to resolve issues. However, they seemed heavily constrained by the infrastructure and policies put in place by management.
Now to the concerns:
1. I booked and paid for my stay weeks in advance via PayPal directly through the hotel’s website. I received a confirmation email and booking code, so everything appeared standard. However, shortly before my arrival, I began receiving emails requesting my WhatsApp number to “confirm” the booking. After providing it, I was asked to send receipts and additional documentation just one day before check-in.
Having traveled extensively around the world, I have never encountered a hotel operating in this manner. Once payment is made and confirmation is issued, the process should be straightforward. This approach creates unnecessary anxiety and, frankly, presents a loophole that could easily be exploited by scammers. It is highly unprofessional.
2. Upon arrival, I was asked to sign a waiver stating that the hotel, its staff, and its owners would not be liable for any stolen or damaged property belonging to guests. However, the same document included a clause that I would be charged for any damage to their property.
This is a clear imbalance in policy. Liability cannot be one-sided. I refused to sign the waiver, especially since they also indicated that refunds are not offered. After the manager was called, I was eventually allowed to check in without signing it. I strongly advise future guests to carefully read any document presented at check-in. The hotel should urgently review this policy and reassess its internal governance practices.
3. For a hotel that presents itself as mid- to upper-tier, the absence of reliable WiFi and functional bathroom facilities is unacceptable. The rooms are aesthetically pleasing, but basic functionality matters far more.
We spent over 90 minutes moving from room to room trying to find one with stable WiFi and a toilet that flushed properly. After a long international flight, this was extremely frustrating. The staff were visibly stressed, and I could tell the problem was beyond their control. Eventually, they placed me in a suite that had its own dedicated WiFi, which resolved the issue but this should not have required such an ordeal.
Final Verdict:
While the location is peaceful and the staff are well-meaning, the hotel suffers from serious operational, infrastructural, and policy flaws. I will not be returning, nor would I recommend this property to others until significant improvements are made.

This hotel is not really managed in any meaningful sense. Wifi went down for three days, which meant going off to another hotel to work. They gave me a carton of orange juice by way of apology! The lady at reception also didn't know that only one of the POS machines works for international cards so lots of time wasted try to make a payment. I checked out and moved to Nordic hotel -- more expensive but at least stuff works and you can get things done. I should say that staff at the View are good people. Just a lack of training and seriousness about IT.

This property was great. Stayed here with my bridesmaids, and they were very accommodating of many of our demands. They also allowed us take pictures with our bridal party at the beautiful reception area.
