Cozy hotel but...

At first glance, cosy hotel. But... Check in was horrible, the staff didnt speak Norwegian and had problem understanding english, wich lead to mix up in the rooms(we where a group of 2 couples). Rooms where superhot, no ventilation. In the night it felt like the disco was inside our room because it was facing the street. So no sleep. Only positive thing was that they changed our room the next day because we complained about the noice. Location is great. Value for money not.

Tap water not drinkable due to repair. No water bottles offered in the room nor in the reception. Bad!

I was a little disappointed

Nice service. But the hotel is loose and poorly kept, no curtains around the shower so the bathroom gets wet, the breakfast is neat but at least made. The TV didn't work at all. There is no elevator. Poor ventilation. Cleaning was ok. Free tea and coffee, but most hotels do. A gem at the fjord is to exaggerate!

Disappointing

We booked rooms here, as it was allowed to bring dogs.
Something that is one plus, but without an elevator, this became a lot of stairs.
There is no ventilation, making sleep difficult.
Outplaces on all sides, made that there is noise to 0230 on weekends.
Very sparing breakfast and it seems that the hotel saves on the use of staff, as it was empty in the reception, virtually the entire stay.
No parking, so you have to pay a plus of 400,- in parking.
The total makes this costly and bad.
Probably won't stay this hotel again.

Disappointing

Victoria Hotel appears as a pearl by the sea in Kragerø. Unfortunately, it is not experienced that way. We had cost us a junior suite, with views and balcony over the harbour in Kragerø. The view did not disappoint, it is super, while the rest of the hotel hangs behind in the glory of the 60s. Joda, there have probably been attempts to upgrade, without it being especially visible. The sea side and terraces were unfortunately filled with unpleasant matos from the restaurants below.
The room was up under the roof on the 3rd floor and a lot of stairs to get up. (No elevator). It was terribly hot there. Sleep was almost impossible. The hotel lacks proper ventilation. The size of the room was OK. The bathroom was "upgraded", but a suite withstands more than a sink, a toilet and a shower without shower walls and showering directly on the floor. Diet to remove floor water was included.
The bed was not very comfortable.
Spicy breakfast, easy reception without anyone for service. So hardly anyone at the front desk after check-in. The hotel door closed at 22:00, so after that the hotel was without visible night guard?. It was fine to see that the hotel room was fireproof with sprayers and proper fire instructions. The hotel is far from being universally adapted.
Kragerø is busy in the summer, it is challenging to get to the hotel due to closed roads. The hotel does not have parking but public parking nearby (EasyPark).
