The Young son of the proprietor was fantastic, couldn’t be any more helpful. Although it was right in downtown Palmerston, easy walking distance to the Square, it was Quiet, and the bed was fantastic and it was Clean. There were enough blankets to suit even me. I will be staying there every time I go to Palmerston North thanks All

The room however, as advertised from website it states, You’ll have a good-sized room with a lovely, comfortable bed. The bed was terrible. Pilliows not great at all. I question how often the occasional pillowcases are washed.
Website advertised, Small touches will help you settle in, such as Fairtrade coffee and a bowl of chocolates in every room. Verses what we got. There were no chocolates at all.
As advertised, You can go for total relaxation by booking a room with its own spa bath. However the shower is then over the spa bath so pretty unsafe climbing in and out of that and photos on website look like the shower is separate we well as room having a spa bath. The shower was either freezing or scolding hot.
As advertised, You can choose to have a terrific breakfast brought straight to your room. We never saw anything in the room to fill out. No pen anywhere either.
As advertised, Grab nibbles from our in-room snack bars. There was no such thing... nothing but a very small made up medicine bottle of milk.
There was nothing to put on the door that we didn't want the room serviced, so the room service was letting themselves in when we were still sleeping. Lucky we had the chain on the door!
On Booking.com it states soundproof rooms. This is a utter complete lie. We could hear the conversations from the room next door, including coughing and their t.v, not to mention then waking us up when they crawled in at 6.47am.
Overall. Would not book again unless it was the last place available.

This was a perfect overnight stay in Palmy! Enjoyed the large tub and tea selection too.

Nice place. Close to everything

The guy at reception was great and friendly, the room was clean.
We were very busy doing stuff around Palmy that we didn't spend much time at the hotel.
It was great to be able to walk every where we needed from the hotel, and the bus from the airport went straight past the hotel.
