Excellent hotel, comfy rooms, central location.

Excellent hotel with fabulous views over the harbour. We stayed here for 1 night on our journey from South to North Island. The location was excellent and a short walk to the cable car. The valet parking was excellent and check in quick & easy. The rooms were spacious and beds comfy and large. Bathroom well equipped and nice soft towels.
The bar area is busy and vibrant and waiter service. The breakfast is good with the usual selection of hot & cold buffet style food. Barista coffee is available on request.

Perfect cosmopolitan stay in perfect location for visiting Wellington New Zealand

I am IHG member and looked this hotel up online. we had just gotten off the ferry from Picton and didn’t feel like driving to our next destination, So we decided to stay in Wellington for the evening and the Intercontinental was a perfect choice. Very upscale and perfect location. Check-in was awesome. Dominic was as kind and efficient as I’ve ever had. We wanted to explore Wellington and this hotel situated perfectly downtown by the wharf so we could walk right across the street and check out all the restaurants and shops they gave us two free drink tickets which we used in the lounge which was very nice. The room was fantastic with an odd little window in the bathroom that we had to figure out how to turn on and Office as I have not seen this before very comfortable beds well appointed room.

Fantastic comfortable stay. Breakfast was delicious, lots of choice. Friendly and helpful staff. We hope to stay again if we are back in Wellington!

That 5 Star Plus feeling.

An amazing stay with beautiful rooms and amazing service made to feel as though you were the most important people in the hotel. From the moment you arrive to the moment you left attention to detail and beautiful food. The restaurant buffet breakfast was awesome and the hotel facilities were excellent. thoroughly enjoyable stay made even better by the great staff - special mention to Jeromy, Tiaha and Zak who made concierging look easy! Look after ‘That Bear’ for us till next time.
