One to avoid.

The hotel location isnt bad, it’s a short walk to the tram which will have you at centraal in 15 mins and there are stops at Rembrandtplein/dam square for your touristy stuff. There are a couple of sorority houses nearby so there is a little music, but nothing that bothered us. However that is where all of the ‘not bad’ begins and ends.
We stayed for 4 nights in one of the basement cells (I can’t bring myself to call it a room). I’m a semi-regular visitor to Amsterdam, so I don’t have expectations of big rooms, but this one is 1 room split into 3, with walls so thin you can hear your neighbours constantly.
None of the doors fit properly, so they’re all slammed more often than not, there are visible wires hanging out of the walls, only half of the lights worked, the handles have fallen off the half working shower and there is no space for storing anything. This was exacerbated by the addition of a table, fridge and chair in the one bit of space there was, which were of absolutely no use. The rooms themselves are cleaned at least, but the corridors don’t seem to be and have a smell, the fire exit lights all looked defective too as they are constantly flashing.
Sometimes I stay at a hotel and see a few bits here and there that could do with fixing, but at the Max, nobody cares anymore and you can tell.
Stay anywhere else.

Terrible , the worst hotel I've stayed

I travel quite a lot, and stayed in many budget hotels, but this is the worst hotel that I've ever stayed. We were in a twin room, beds were extremely narrow, and literally no space in between. The pillow was not a plllow, had no stuffing or firmness. When taking a shower, it flooded the bathroom, and the bathroom door did not shut properly. There was no sink in the bathroom, only a tiny one in the bedroom. The TV didn't work either. The room was so small, very uncomfortable, no air con or fan provides, and also got absolutely no sleep because of young students partying all night and constant door slamming. I honestly would not recommend anyone to stay here, please avoid. An absolute dump!

Where do I start,avoid this place,rooms are not like pictures,box room with two tiny beds,door handles fall off,bathroom door is about 5” to small,full off damp,shower head broken,water doesn’t go away but yr given squeegee to try and do yrself,doors constantly slamming all night,stinks of weed,should not have a licence in all fairness,tv doesn’t work even though you won’t stop in room,no air con,no fan,leaking iron but no iron board,I wouldn’t recommend to anyone at all,beds bobbly,should be in a movie,hammer house of horrors,microwave in corridor I wouldn’t use,I don’t need to go on as reviews show this

The room including the bathroom were rather small but it was alright for a short stay visit.
