Staff was really nice and knowledgeable. A friend got sick with altitude sickness and the staff were able to get a doctor to come to us at hotel. Breakfast in the mornings was yummy and perfect for our tours.

The room was clean and comfortable. They provided a nice breakfast with hot and cold food. My only disappointment is that when I showered the water was ice cold. I did tell the staff and they said they fixed it, but it was warm at best. Otherwise, this hotel had a nice location to restaurants and shops as well as being in a good location for sites up above the San Blas area.

If you don't have to stay there, stay away from that place.

Hotel charged us more than was agree on booking.com. During check-in process we were told by receptionist that if we pay by card they add 4% to the bill and that we can pay only in soles, they have own exchange rate which was higher than market rate. So we had to pay more than 50 US dollars more than was the price in our reservation on booking.com. We reported that to booking.com, but so far we did not get any answer.
In the reception we had contact with few receptionist, some of them were nice, so not so very nice and some did not speak english at all.
But the reat problem was the room. We booked superior room, but in our opinion was not even 1 start hotel room.
The paint was peeling in sheets from the walls and ceilings. There was mold in many areas. Everything was dirty (including the bedding) and worn out. The heating and television didn't work. The bathroom window wouldn't close, so cold air blew on your back while showering. There were holes in the walls where exposed (unsecured) cables had made contact. The floor and doorsteps were falling apart.
We reported these issues, but the receptionists kept telling us repeatedly that this room was great because it was a superior room. I tried to speak to the hotel manager, but he wasn't willing to talk to me.
As soon as we saw the room, we immediately wanted to cancel (we were only paying for one night, so according to Booking.com, we should have received a refund of the remaining amount), but the hotel insisted that since we paid by card, they couldn't refund us.
The breakfast had a poor selection. For example only two eggs are allowed per day, and the scrambled eggs made on site were so dry they didn't stick to a fork.
After the first night no one clean our room (did not empty bins or change towels). And we were told that it is because they are not allowed to get to the room when we are not in (strange). And the next days it was cleaned even if we were not in.

Shower water is horrible, you only get water drops from the shower head from time to time

Really lovely decor and great location, and the front desk v helpful. The breakfast and staff (owners) let it down quite badly - breakfast is basically bread and jam plus a little scrambled egg and bacon with cheese and it’s exactly the same every day. The breakfast staff, who are also the owners I think, shout across the room to each other as though you are not there - I got the impression they have got tired of providing a service. Such a shame as the building and location are great
