Lovely stay on nature’s doorstep!

Waking up each morning to a breathtaking panorama of mountains was nothing short of a dream. The soothing sound of the nearby waterfall and stream made it so easy to relax and sleep deeply every night. The hotel’s remote location added to the sense of peace and tranquility—no noise from cars or crowds, just nature at its finest.
At night, the clear view of the stars was absolutely stunning, and during the day, the gardens around the hotel were lush, green, and full of life. I also loved seeing the beautiful birds that would occasionally fly by—it all added to the charm of the place.
The room itself was gorgeous, with a perfect mix of color, warmth, and comfort. I stayed in a room with a fireplace, which made it feel extra cozy and inviting. Everything was spotless and well-organized, including the bathroom, which had a cohesive and stylish design.
The food was incredible—authentic Peruvian cuisine full of flavor and beautifully presented. My friend and I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which offered a wonderful variety each morning.
The location is also perfect, just a short ride from the train station with direct access to Machu Picchu. We spent an amazing day there and loved being able to return to such a peaceful and beautiful place afterward.
Overall, this hotel offered an unforgettable experience—stunning scenery, delicious food, and a true sense of comfort and serenity. Highly recommend to anyone visiting the area!

Photographing colibries.

Nice experience in Molino. Rustic hotel with gardens and drinking holes to attract colibries. Very well accomplished by the way. If you like nature it is a highly recommended place.

Great birdwatching

Beautiful place buzzing hummingbirds everywhere in the garden. 4AM full breakfast awesome. The road to the hotel is very bumpy, prepare some tip for your taxi driver.

Beautiful lodge with an attractive hummingbird garden

Birds Hotel Molino is a beautiful lodge, constructed around a small garden with hummingbird feeders that attract beautiful species like Green-and-white Hummingbird, Great Sapphirewing and Sword-billed Hummingbird. It is one of those places where you feel in every corner that it is managed with love and dedication. We used it as base for a birding trip to Ipal Ecolodge, Inkatambo Garden, Tunkiwasi Lodge, Abra Málaga and Ensifera Camp, but it is also an excelent place to just relax and connect with the surrounding nature. It offers big rooms with comfortable beds, verandas with views on the hummingbird garden, a living room with many books about nature and a hide for photographing some common of the more song birds. It is located on a quiet dirt road, so one can also make walks in the surrounding area. The owner is a dedicated man, full of ideas and stories, super friendly and excellent company. He was our guide for the three days we spend between BHM and IPAL Ecolodge. Super recommendable.

Birdwatcher’s nirvana, comfortable accommodation, fascinating host.

The setting is sublime for birdwatchers, with so many birds literally at the door. A warm bed, hearty breakfast and a fascinating host.
