A boutique hotel

After a sweaty bicycle ride on a hot day from Kołobrzeg, it was a pleasure to check in this small stylish hotel. Our room was intented for adults, as the multiple scale model cars which decorated the room certainly were not meant for toys. The room was spacy and all modern black and white. A bathroom with a shower and free Wi-fi. No elevator. The breakfast was served in the cafe on the ground floor and it was decent. On the expensive side, but you pay for quality.

Preis-/Leistung gut, teilweise laut

We stayed for three nights in a Suite (room 5). On the plus-side there is the nice staff, good breakfast (but nothing to freak out about), modern styles and a roomy shower. Free parking on a private property nearby. The hotels employs and welcomes gays, which is pretty unique for conservative Poland.
You can feel the employees wish to help you having a good stay. Compared to other accommodations in this area, it is a very good choice.
Nevertheless there was a downside:
When we first stepped into the bath it smelled very, very bad (probably coming from the pipes). The room has quite a nice, big panorama window, but unfortunately it only opens at a small edge, so the smell annoyed us for about 1,5 days. The bath vent wasn't that supportive either (it shuts down automatically after about 3 min).
Although it's not a big street, it was very noisy - the street connects the village to all other directions. With windows closed the air-condition only shuffles and chills the used, stinky air and with windows opened it is very loud. We asked for a room to the other side, but they were occupied and more expensive.
There was no soap in the bathroom.
Wifi was very bad.
TV signal was bad, too.
Still: fair price for a nice stay.

Design Hotel

Me and my partner spent four nights in March at the Axel Palace Hotel in Dziwnow and was pleasantly surprised with the comfort and style. The room was large and with large windows nice and light. Facing the beach side which is only short walk across the street to get to. The breakfast was really nicely laid out and with quite a selection, surprising for a smaller hotel. The staff was pleasant, helpful and attentive. We felt very comfortable and would certainly go again. Thank you for a lovely stay.

Avoid at all costs!

Axel Palace is the most disappointing hotel experience in Poland.
This hotel misrepresents its product offering, charges upfront for room reservations and its treatment of customers is rude and insulting at best.
We booked to stay one week recently and realized when check in was in the cafe/pizzeria on the ground floor that the ***** included in the hotel's logo and identification is a complete overstatement of what is being offered.
After one night in a suite that is an over sized attic bedroom my wife and I decided to leave. As we had prepaid through Booking.com we got no satisfaction from the property owner and manager even though we "agreed" an appropriate refund amount. We were pushed from hotel to Booking.com over 2 days without any refund or satisfaction. The hotel even tagged us as a no show - so they could rent the room again - even though we checked in, stayed for 1 night and paid for 7 nights!
If you are an experienced traveller who understands what hotel accommodation and customer care standards should be then this is definitely not the place for you!

High quality Boutique hotel at Polish Seaside

Axel Palace it is small boutique hotel we have stayed over Easter. It is very well decorated with top quality wall papers and pictures. We have been upgrated from standard to premium and have got fantastic room with terrace and view over the sea. Staff is very helpfull and professional, breakfast is very very good selection of tasty food.
We had very good stay and been very well treated in this hotel. Highly recommended
