Slice of rural charm

Such a gem set just a short drive from the city center. Very well appointed with nice touches of luxury and rural charm. Great pool and breakfast. Rooms have ac and nice kitchens. Great decor and comfy furniture. We enjoyed our stay very much.

Perfect summer vacation venue

We stayed for 8 nights (July-August 2020) as a family with 2 small children (aged 1yo and 4,5yo). We booked the 2 bedroom cottage (casa da oliveiras) and it was perfect!! They even provided a baby cot for our youngest.
The cottage is well equipped as a self-catering cottage, with 2 bedrooms (both en-suite with bath/shower combinations), a lounge/dining room and a little kitchen. doors lead onto a private(ish) patio with loungers and an outdoor dining set complete with outdoor umbrella with a view across the farm. They came to clean/change sheets and towels every 3rd day.
Breakfast is delivered to your cottage each morning on a tray - including: freshly baked breadrolls and croissants, ham/cheese/homemade jam, butter, milk, juice, coffee and yoghurts. It was more than enough for us and sometimes sent stuff back or just popped it into our own fridge for consumption later in the day.
The swimming pool and playground area makes it a perfect place to visit with family and the pool lapa area was very inviting.
Wifi works perfectly and we hardly used the tv (except for the disney channel for our oldest on some afternoons)
Staff wise - everyone was so friendly and Lita (who was managing) checked up on us daily to make sure we were happy and that we had everything we needed!

Great hub for visiting central Portugal

This lovely B&B type farm is really rural. If you plan to stay here, do your research with maps first, because the local roads and roundabouts are confusing. The actual road to the farm is basically one lane wide. From the southwest side, there is a sign to help you find the corner. From the northeast, not. Given that, the place is lovely and quiet and affordable. Individual cottages have bedroom, living room, small kitchen, and a full bath. The pictures on the website are a good depiction, accurate. The pool is a small lap pool but that's enough. Orange trees laden with fruit are scattered around the grounds. Elena provides a very nice cooked to order breakfast. She will also point out a local restaurant (that is marked as a car dealership on maps) with excellent food and very affordable prices. We used this as a hub to visit towns like Alcobaca and Obidos and Batalha, all within an hour drive or less. Very relaxing, except for route finding on the local roads (our only problem). We stayed 3 nights and there was no servicing of the room, but for 3 days, that was OK. No bar service. We would definitely stay here again if opportunity would arise.

Rural cozy place

We stayed only for one night in Quinta da Cabrita, the place is quiet near Santarém area. It has small houses with kitchen that provides some privacy. We stayed at ameixoeira house, we arrived late so they left the AC open for hot, since it was cold.
They have also a pool and breakfast was very good. Nice stay

Rural, Rustic, Romantic!

My wife and I have just returned from a two night break at Quinta da Cabrita after a night in a top hotel in Lisbon nearby the arena where we saw a concert the previous evening. OK, so do not expect 5 star hotel experience at “Goat Farm”, as that is not their aim (directions could have been simplified, wi-fi could have been better, language barrier could be improved, outside seating more comfortable, etc), but overall it can be highly recommended - if you are looking for a peaceful break in a lovely location with traditional furnishings in your accommodation.
Nothing was too much trouble for manageress Helena, ably assisted by her Mum who does the cleaning, and Dad the gardener! Neither of the latter speak English, but Helena “gets by” - and also in French. We stayed in one of their four apartments, our one had the bedroom on a mezzanine floor, an aquired taste initially, but we grew to like it and would definitely go back when next in the area (we live in the Algarve).

Very good location
