It is like being welcomed into the home by landowners with the great sense of hospitality typical of the Portuguese! A hospitality made of small attentions such as fresh eggs from the chicken coop for breakfast in the morning, the impeccable room with comfortable bed and pillow, a priceless view of the valley, with the fog of dawn rising from the Douro river until it disappears under the sun's rays. Found by chance, Casa Altamira is an address to mark for all travelers looking for an authentic experience.

Beautiful house with a wonderful view

Very nice Mood, very welcoming and attentive staff. Delicious breakfast. Highlighting the sympathy of Santiago and Alexandra, very attentive and nice. Great emphasis also for the cleanliness and beauty of the house.

Breakfast in the castle.

Three special features: very nice castle-like accommodation. Breakfast in a real antique princes room. Great breakfast with nothing missing up to fruits, chocolates..... Very dedicated and helpful hosts. Planned one night turned into five nights. We are divorced as friends and invited to the harvest next year. Charly
