Wonderful Stay for Families
One of the biggest advantages for us was the pool. There are surprisingly few upscale hotels in Lisbon with a pool, and when traveling with a child, having the option to spend some downtime at the hotel swimming and relaxing made such a difference.
What really stood out, though, was the staff. Everyone we encountered was warm, friendly, and genuinely helpful. They were also incredibly responsive to feedback. On the few occasions when we had a question or concern, it was addressed promptly and thoughtfully. That level of service made us feel that they truly cared about our experience rather than simply going through the motions.
The hotel itself is beautiful, comfortable, and very well maintained, and it provided a wonderful place to come back to after exploring Lisbon.
The hotel is also very conveniently located close to the airport

I’d stay here again and again
The breakfast was definitely one of the highlights of our stay. There was a piano player most mornings, which made sitting down for breakfast feel like a special experience rather than just another hotel meal. The wait staff were also consistently friendly and attentive.
As a professional housekeeper myself, I tend to notice cleanliness and the little details, and I was genuinely impressed with the rooms. Everything was very clean and well maintained. I also loved the evening turndown service. They leave a little chocolate, and honestly, it was some of the best chocolate I’ve ever had! That was a very welcome surprise.
We also tried the spa and did the hydrotherapy circuit, which was a lot of fun. We really enjoyed going between the pools and saunas and found it to be a great way to relax.
One thing future guests should know is that the elevators are a little wild to figure out at first. There isn’t really an explanation when you check in, and the system is different from most hotels. You scan your room key, select your floor on the touchscreen, and then wait in front of the elevator it directs you to. Once you understand it, it’s easy, but I do think reception could mention it when guests arrive because it can be confusing the first time.
The only real downside for us was the location. The hotel is a little removed from the hustle and bustle of central Lisbon, so I wouldn’t consider it a particularly walkable location if you want to step outside and immediately be in the middle of everything. That said, the hotel offers a free shuttle to the city center until 6 PM, which was very helpful. When the shuttle wasn’t running, we simply used Bolt, so getting around was still easy.
Overall, we really enjoyed our stay at the Corinthia Lisbon. The beautiful hotel, excellent service, cleanliness, breakfast, spa, and all the little touches made it feel like a special place to stay. We would definitely come back.

The destination-control system can indeed be unfamiliar at first, and your suggestion that we explain the process more clearly upon arrival is a very fair one.
