Sympathy of the couple Mr. Antonio and D. Silvia.
Unlimited hospitality. Beautiful building, having been restored with good taste following the original trace of the facade. Immaculate cleanliness, spacious room, Smart TV. Good breakfast. All impeccable.

All exceptional!

There are places that are unforgettable. This is one of them. We were welcomed by the dear hosts Silvia and António, as if we were in our own house and in their own house! Everything impeccable, beautiful, comfortable and well taken care of. They don't know what to do to please! It was wonderful for us to rest. I can only thank you for the affection and attention you have had with us. As I told them when we left: “- I want to go back!”

Our best stay in the Douro valley

From the moment we arrived until we left we felt like we were treated like family by Antonio and Sylvia. Our room was lovely - spotlessly clean, comfortable bed and lovely pillows. The welcome pack in the bathroom was above and beyond. The superb breakfast was laid out with thought and care and they even presented my husband with a token gift on his birthday! The lounge was comfortable too! Antonio was a fountain of local knowledge. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough. I wouldn't hesitate to return

Douro Pensã Avenida B&B is a gem

Douro B&B Pensão Avenida was built in 1911 and completely renovated to a high standard in 2023. Avenida B&B is family owned and managed and offers 9 rooms over 2 floors. Furnishings and decoration provide a most charming atmosphere. Service is helpful and very friendly. On arrived were were welcomed with a glass of local cherry liqueur. Nice!
The hot springs are known from the early 12th century and the Spa & Baths at Caldas de Aregos were established in 1910. The natural water arrives at 62°C and with 9.2pH is known for health & general well-being. To date the Spa & Baths are in renovation.
Our room had 2 chairs & small table, air-conditioning, TV, a good kingsize bed, and a wardrobe. Windows can be opened. We had a nice bathroom with washbasin, toilet & shower. All was super clean. Complimentary tea & coffee. An adequate buffet breakfast is served: eggs made to order, ham & cheese, rolls & croissant, fruits & yoghurt, orange juice & preserves, tea & coffee.
Douro B&B Avenida is a very comfortable and quiet accommodation, and we had a pleasant stay. Highly recommended.

Feeling family

I had the pleasure of staying in Mr. B&B. António and could not be more satisfied. From the moment I arrived, I was welcomed with a warm smile and genuine hospitality.
Mr. António is an exceptional host. Always attentive to the needs of guests, he makes sure that everyone feels welcome and comfortable. His good disposition is contagious, and he is always ready to help or give tips about the region.
The B&B itself is charming. Recently renovated, the space is impeccably clean and decorated with very good taste. Every detail has been carefully thought out, from the cosy rooms to the delicious breakfast served every morning.
I recommend this place 100%! If you are looking for a cozy and authentic stay, do not hesitate to book . I'm sure you'll have a wonderful experience.
I hope this review will help other travelers discover this hidden treasure!
