Overnight stay in Ayr

Chose this hotel for its location, central to Ayr and its competitive price. Arrived just after 4pm and parked out in front in the hotels spacious car park. Was greeted by the manager and provided simple instructions for room, breakfast and access. I was given room no.10, top stairs 1st floor, lovely building with plenty of character. My double room was spacious with large comfy bed and a large walk in shower room. Good sized tv and complimentary tea and coffee. Room was clean and the furnishing was colour coordinated and bright due to the tall window. I had a great night sleep and i was impressed with the lovely full breakfast which was freshly prepared by the welcoming staff. There was also a continental breakfast available also if you fancied that too

Perfect for an overnight stay

We stayed for a photography weekend away, and I was really happy with how close we were to the coast. You need to walk through Ayr center, and then you see Ayr beach, which is so lovely and gorgeous! Perfect quiet weekend away. Free parking outside. This please is basic, but if that's all you're looking for then it's perfect! Everything you need, really comfy bed, warm shower.

Great for what we wanted

We were staying one night after our trip round the highlands and were visiting a relative.
The hotel was comfortable if a bit basic and the rooms could have been larger but they were perfectly adequate for what we wanted.
The breakfast was really good and overall good value

Perfect spot to start our SW Scotland road trip.

We stayed for a night at At Andrews recently at the start of a motorcycling tour around Ayrshire and Dumfries and Galloway. The owner met us in the car park upon arrival to direct us to his private space at the rear so that our bikes Cid be parked out of sight. We were checked in within minutes and shown to our room. The room was a little small but was clean and well appointed. Beds were comfortable, toasty warm room, tea and coffee etc. At breakfast there was an abundant choice of cereals, fruit, yoghurt etc and an fantastic cooked breakfast. Couldn't fault St. Andrews

Little Gem

Just back from spending a much needed rest to St Andrews hotel. The room was big and spotless as was the ensuite. Cannot fault it in anyway. The staff were so friendly. Breakfast was delicious. A small walk to main town centre approx 10 to 15 minsbut bus stop is directly outside hotel. Taxi really cheap under £4 so again can't complain. Would definitely recommend it and we will be staying here again.
