Excellent and comfortable choice for both business and leisure trips

Staying Cool and Rotunda have now become synonymous with Birmingham for me and the hotel itself could easily be a destination in its own right - I keep coming back and it keeps getting better with each stay.
I really appreciate the small improvements and touches you’ve included over the years as well, making SC an excellent and comfortable choice with spectacular views. Special thanks goes to the super helpful staff!
In the past, I’ve chosen SC as accommodation for both business and leisure trips. If you’re taking suggestions on board and the building would allow it, the only thing that would make the stay better would be to be able to bring my dog along - it would allow for a longer stay and for the place to truly feel like home. Still, top remarks!

Amazing city wide views

We've stayed at this hotel before and had a lovely warm welcome back. We booked a mini room (studio) this time and had previously stayed in the clubman (1 bedroom) before and preferred the clubman. The hotel is a perfect location for shopping in the Bullring, the Hippodrome/Alex theatres, and many of the bars and restaurants in town.
The views from the 19th floor are amazing and I could sit and look out all day! There's pretty much everything that you'd need in the apartment. We didn't have a frying pan but I expect that I could have requested one.
The apartment was clean, but starting to look a bit tired. The walls had been painted in patches and as they were white it was quite noticeable, and the lino flooring was obviously chosen for practicality rather than style or comfort.
We sat down to watch Wimbledon and our TV had a fault line down the middle of the screen. Reception didn't have another TV, and they didn't have a room to switch us too. That was disappointing. Also, the TV didn't have the usual Freeview channels (i.e. no ITV or ITV2) and they weren't picked up when we re-tuned the TV. We got around that by screen mirroring but having a functioning TV is a basic amenity for a hotel.

Another brilliant stay

This was my 4th visit and my boyfriend's 2nd. It has become a standing joke that every train journey I make to Birmingham includes some sort of fiasco and this latest time was no exception, ha-ha! We soon felt calm and relaxed though, looking out of our 18th floor apartment at the amazing view over the Bullring, St Martin in the Bullring church and Digbeth. We were very happy to see lovely Precious again and we had the BEST welcome and goodbye from wonderful Lisa. Honestly, it's like going to visit family members - the ones you actually WANT to see, that is!

a great stay

Comfortable apartment with breathtaking views and kind, helpful staff who ensured we had a great stay: located in a central position in Birmingham, a very fine city to visit. the Museum, & ART gallery is worth a trip in its own right (when it reopens!)

Amazing time

Amazing work from the team at the hotel, staff are extremly friendly and welcoming
As we entered the apartment, the cleanliness never dissapoints, always clean
5/5, I am a regular at this place and will be returning as always.
