Absolutely awful! Hotel of horrors

Please AVOID absolutely filthy hotel. When we arrived there was music full blast and folk extremely drunk with kids falling about the place. We booked this hotel as my daughter had a competition the next day and there was no way we could stay due to the thumping music until 1am. We went to our rooms to discover it was absolutely nothing like the photos. Bleached towels dirty units toilet roll chucked across the bathroom floor. The bathroom lights were smashed! The carpets were filthy. We went down to complain and the staff weren’t helpful at all! They offered to move us to the other side of the hotel, when heading to the other room it was even worse! The carpets were filthy the units had stuff splattered all over them, windows were filthy everything looked broken! We were in tears and had no where else to stay but it was that bad we could not stay there with our child! Staff were refusing to help in the slightest! We ended up finding a last minute hotel. Please please do not stay here it’s awful and we never felt safe! I paid £216 for two night

Disappointed

Booked to stay here for 2 nights, left after 1, this hotel has gone downhill from when we last stayed and I left a review on how good it was, Staff were rude paid hardly any attention to us, went to go in the bar after checking in and the door was locked even though it opens at 12, person behind the bar later on in the evening looked like they didn't want to be there.
Room was clean but that is about it, the bed was horrible and the mattress was lumpy, so much I woke up with back pain and couldn't get any sleep
Since previous management left this hotel has gone up and down but now I feel it is at rock bottom and we wont be using this hotel.again which is a shame as it used to be a brilliant place to stay

Mangement

The hotel is standard, can not complain. Room was clean, breakfast was standard , my main concern is the management. I came to this hotel for the dance competition I was attending I checked out this morning and came back for my luggage 20 minutes ago and I found the manager asleep in the public lounge, he stunk of alcohol, had a pint of alcohol next to him and also had throw up down his shirt!! This is no way to run a hotel!!! I will not be staying here again!!

Avoid Avoid Avoid!!!!!!!

Avoid this hotel it has really gone downhill from last time we stayed.Location is good for theatre and hounshill shopping centre car park right over the road if it isn't full.When we arrived reception area was grubby obviously not been hoovered as sweets stuck to carpet which I threadbare.Staff just took our money no advice on time of breakfast etc.Room we were allocated was small grubby and furniture we'll past its best window was all damp with condensation and room very cold .
Water was freezing when attempted shower light fitting on wall above head in bed .
Breakfast in morning was cereal or beans we didn't bother we got our bags and left will not be going back there again .

Terrible hotel!

The hotel is old, unkempt and not clean. In 3 days the tiny single room was cleaned only once, towels were not changed. The window doesn't seal, the one in the little dirty bathroom didn't even open. It's clairvoyant, I could hear neighbors snoring! Breakfast only between 8.30 and 9.30 am, I could not use because of that. And then there's the karaoke bar (none of which was in the booking): my room was right above, the bass so loud that I thought someone was booming at my door. And all this plus loud sound and screamed vocals. Friday and Saturday evening, until 1.30am! Terrible!
