Lovely find
What a lovely find this was. The host was lovely and attentive. The accommodation was clean and welcoming. We stayed in The Kitty Snug for two nights. The room, although smaller than other rooms in the b&b, was big enough for two of us. The bed was comfortable and there was a small sofa as well.
The area it is located in was quiet at night. Just a short walk to the prom, beach and tram stop. Parking is just on one side of the road and was full when we arrived but we left the car at home and arrived by train so it wasn’t an issue for us. Breakfast was continental included in the room cost or you could have a cooked breakfast for an extra £8 (I think), just had to notify the host the day before. We just had continental as we were going to the pleasure beach so didn’t want a big breakfast.
We will be staying here again in future and will recommend it to others.

From the moment we arrived, Claire and Rich made us feel completely at home. They are warm, friendly hosts who clearly care about every guest’s experience.
Our room was cozy with lots of thoughtful touches — a great selection of teas and coffees, biscuits, quality toiletries (shampoo, conditioner, shower gel, soap, tissues), and a very comfortable bed. We slept brilliantly.
Breakfast was excellent, especially for someone with food allergies. There was a fantastic range of options: cooked breakfast, continental choices, fresh fruit, yoghurts, pastries, and different breads including gluten‑free and dairy‑free. There was also a good selection of milks. The breakfast room is spotless, welcoming, and beautifully run, with Daisy doing a lovely job front of house.
The location is perfect — close to all attractions, the beach front, the promenade, and transport links like the bus and tram. It’s also an easy stroll to the South, Central, or North Pier.
We were celebrating our 25th wedding anniversary, and the special touches made it even more memorable.
We will definitely be returning and will recommend this place to everyone.

Our Celebration weekend
Cooked breakfast was delicious, I had 2 and choose a healthier option on our 3rd morning , plenty of choices tea coffees fruit juices etc ,
They certainly go the extra mile nice touches throughout,
For example our Harper suite had a bottle of fresh milk for tea coffee making, biscuits, shortbread, lovely toiletries and tissues that didn’t go unnoticed,
Bed was comfortable and we had 3 fantastic nights sleep,
Room and furnishings were lovely but the bathroom was absolutely out of this world and having a tv to watch in a gigantic bath with a glass of fizz made my wife’s anniversary.
We will definitely be returning back and so will our friends, they all felt like us it was tremendous value for money .
Can’t wait to return later in the year , we went away feeling like we’d made new friends.

Perfect hidden gem
Please don’t hesitate to book this guest house, Claire went above and beyond to make us most welcome and even messaged to see if everything was ok and if we needed anything
Spotlessly clean, very warm and cozy room and comfortable bed
Will definitely be returning and will recommend to family and friends
