cosy stay - lovely hosts

We loved our cosy stay at Castle Lodge - just one night as part of a two-day canoe trip.
The hotel is in a quirky and historical Georgian building near the river.
We were really impressed by the friendliness of the owners. When we had trouble finding the place (bum steer from google maps) we were touched and grateful that Steve came to pick us up just as it was starting to rain. He also dropped us off at our canoe launch point in the morning. Such amazing service!
Also the large breakfast was excellent value for money and just what we needed to prepare for a day's canoeing.

Fantastic place to stay. I was a solo traveller and this place was perfect for me! A lovely family feel to the hotel. I would 100% recommend and will be looking to stay again next time im in the area. Big thanks to the staff who looked after me for the night

Can’t fault my stays

Can’t fault my stays. I’ve had the pleasure of staying at the castle lodge over the past 8weeks and from the first time to the last I’ve enjoyed my stays.
The amenities cover everything you need, comfortable beds, great breakfast, and friendly atmosphere.
Highly recommended
