A unique setting with a fabulous team

Bailiffscourt is a magical place - reclaimed medieval buildings give it a fairy tale air. We had a warm welcome and a gorgeous room. Dinner was delicious and they were very mindful of dietary requirements. It was very peaceful - a place you could hear yourself think. Top notch breakfast - loved the porridge (though didn't take manager Chris's suggestion of the whisky with it!). Pool a lovely temperature and a fantastic facial in the spa on a water bed. We had a game of pickle ball and enjoyed the walks from the hotel - particularly the woodland route. Archie the peacock was very handsome. The staff were absolutely wonderful and four nights went by in a blink of an eye.

Just not perfect!

Beautiful surroundings! Superb hotel and rooms from previous centuries. All me already a beautiful experience where dinner was excellent. Only downside was that the toilet in the room was faulty and someone would fix it during dinner. That had not happened and there was feedback etc. Too bad vd price if it is not correct

Best hotel in Sussex

We absolutely love Baliffscourt. Have stayed many times and had numerous birthday celebrations there. Staff rooms and food always brilliant.

What a disappointment!

We went for a cream tea at Bailiffscourt Hotel on Friday and were extremely disappointed! We had been given the tea as a gift (but I know it cost £90!) which is hugely overpriced.
We sat in the courtyard which was lovely but staff barely acknowledged us. The tea was BASIC!!!! 4 small sandwiches, 1 scone and three small cakes (definitely not patisserie!) NO savouries, no real treats. It was a very poor show for the price! No more tea was offered so ours was soon cold and when we left nobody acknowledged us leaving. I felt really sad walking back to my car.
We recently went to South Lodge hotel in Horsham. Same price but a completely different experience! Polite and friendly staff and beautiful sweets and savouries. We were offered more sandwiches, scones and tea. What a shame that Bailiffscourt couldn’t manage this level of hospitality!

Superb, characterful Baliffs court

Wonderful from start to finish. The best location and the buildings are amazing . My room was lovely & full of character. Loved the original windows and stonework. Roll top bath was therapy in itself. Shower wonderful. All staff are friendly efficient and professional, nothing is too much trouble. Food top quality. Although a little more variation for vegetarians would be good. Meals and dining staff as above , character rooms everywhere. Spa treatment online form did not get through so I was only able to have one treatment on arrival. RING directly to book your treatments beforehand. Love the closeness of the walk to the sea. Fab rose garden courtyard areas to have snacks/ lunch etc . Superb stay as ever. Thank you all!
