Great experience and food

A local pub that has gone from strength to strength. Always made to feel extremely welcome. The staff and licencee always make every effort to accomodate not only visitors but local residents too. Food was excellent. The best restaurant fish and chips I have ever taste, pie, burger and chowder all of a high standard. Sizable portions of apple cake special and sticky toffee pudding. My panna cotta was the best I have ever tasted. Busy but good service, great atmosphere.

Didn't feel much like a traditional pub, instead a very busy restaurant trying to turn around as many tables as possible

Overpriced for very average food.
No one asked was all ok or how we found the experience when we paid the bill.

disappointing roast beef and lamb

sunday roast beef and lamb was unexpectedly disappointing. the beef was very gristly and tough and the lamb lacking flavour. we have dined very happily here a couple of years and more ago. shame as a lovely place with excellent staff.

Great dinner meals

Our experiences at the Cott Inn for dining are always positive and memorable. The service is excellent and the food is superb. My grandsons enjoy the bubble when it is not too hot.

Cosy atmospheric country pub with excellent food

A lovely lunch on a Monday with friends. I had the brie wellington and it was delicious. The interior is cosy and warm, with a nice buzz and good service. There was a good no-alcohol wheat beer. Large wooden tables and open beams. The gardens are attractive even in winter.
