Can't I give the staff 6 out of 5? Never mind, the room was amazing, spotlessly clean, attention to detail was fantastic, and then the meal. Well, my partner has Colitis so we need to avoid all dairy, so for the meal, we asked a bunch of questions, nothing was too much trouble with the staff back and forwards to the chef to confirm what was ok. Needless to say, the food was perfect, completely faultless. Next time in the area, we will be back.

Amazing food

Delicious food in a lovely setting. The Chicken Milanese was wonderful as was the seabass. Far too full for a pudding but we went ahead anyway. Once we got our desserts the next table commented how delicious they looked and they were not wrong. Congratulations to the chef we couldn’t fault any of the dishes on size, quality or taste - perfect!

A wonderful pub-hotel to be at during Badminton Horse Trials

My wife and I attended Badminton Horse Trials a little over two weeks ago. We reserved a room relatively close to the event dates. Prior to the booking, I looked at a number of reviews. Being a traveler, as well as a hospitality landlord myself in the northern USA, I looked at the whole setup; are they trying or are they coasting, what’s the quality of the food, and, do employees enjoy working there? My conclusions? The Kings Arms is deserving of your consideration. And, we will return.
The Kings Arms pub and restaurant dining areas are well kept, attractive, authentic and inviting. Our dinners were always delivered hot and were delicious. As I’m the morning person, I tried everything offered over our stay. Yes, it took time; but, as I had few commitments, all was fine.
One last observation, German horsey types, don’t suffer fools. They stick together and appreciate the finer experiences in life. During my stay, I watched their interactions. The six of them, used the hotel similarly, and had no complaints. Just great interaction.
Look past the petty, mean spirited reviews and meet the owners. They’re good people and deserve your business. And tell them that OilManMike says hi.

Excellent meal

Excellent meal with very attentive and friendly service. My husband enjoyed his GF Chicken Sandwich, fries and beer. My meal was excellent too. Great atmosphere in this country pub.

Superb experience; very highly recommended.

Sunday lunch as good as ever. Generous proportions served quickly with cheerful friendly staff. Highly recommend.
Warm welcome from friendly, attentive staff. Family occasion booked late as slightly apprehensive after seeing a couple of poor reviews; but fears very quickly allayed. We have frequented this inn for Sunday lunch several times a a convenient halfway venue for the families. I must say that this time the lunch was the best ever; more than ample servings, arranged and cooked to perfection. Congrats to the team. and the 'new' management team deserves an accolade.
