A memorable experience.

The linen sheeted bed was so comfortable and the historic spaces made this an unforgettable experience of bygone days hospitality. The breakfast was the best of locally sourced produce including many ingredients from their own kitchen gardens. This added hugely to a wedding reception in the nearby Ballydugan Mill in exquisitely beautiful Ulster countryside deep in Co Down near Downpatrick.

A beautiful country home stay

The hospitality we received here from Simone was second to none. She was hugely welcoming and very accommodating with our requests. The rooms were large and spacious and bed comfortable. The breakfast was delightful and used many local ingredients. We only stayed for two night but wished we could have stayed longer.

A great stay in a 250 year old home

We stayed here one night while walking the St. Patrick's Way. The home is only a few hundred feet off the road where that portion of the trail is. Simone greeted us very kindly on our arrival, even though we were a little early, The home is 250 years old, but still in good shape, hot water takes a bit to reach the second floor, but that does not out way the charm of the very large rooms furnished in what appear to be almost all antiques. When we got back after dinner she started a fire in the lounge for us. Breakfast was very good, served with fruits and honeycomb from their garden.

A delight to be there.

Simone does not put up a sign on the main road or indulge in other overt publicity that I could see, so you have to seek this place out! But it's well worth the effort: a delightful old mansion, full of character and fascinating items of furniture etc, and with a magnificent hostess, who seems to run the whole enterprise virtually single-handedly. Lovely rooms. Excellent breakfasts

Tranquility personified

Superb week long stay hosted by the utterly indomitable Simone.
A credit to both the industry and and a life force extroadinaire.
Peaceful ,comfy wood-shuttered room with copious hot water and a range of luxuriant potions including a decanter of radox.
Superb breakfast choice inc fresh smoked kippers ,bacon,eggs cereal and youghurt,all to be topped with their own fresh honeycomb.
A stay to cherish and will live long in my memory.
