Dreamhaven, Dunbar.

My partner and I stayed here whilst attending the North Berwick Fringe Festival and I genuinely can’t understand some of these bad reviews?
The host himself was very friendly, outgoing, helpful, pleasant and polite, clearly trying his best to be welcoming but not intrusive at the same time. The room itself on the ground floor was clean, large with an incredibly comfortable bed and huge en suite.
There was tea and coffee facilities with a small kettle and two huge cups and saucers, which I really liked.
My only niggle was the lock on the door was a bit hit and miss, but it’s not like the B&B host is just going to randomly walk-in on you!
Breakfast was continental style with pastries, croissants, cereals and yoghurts etc, fresh orange juice, tea and coffee was also provided.
Remember this place is a B&B, it’s not the Royal Hotel in Tynemouth or the Ritz Hotel in London, it is what it is, cheap and cheerful. I’d gladly return, full marks for facilities and customer service. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Not a nice experience

Not a pleasant experience, room was scruffy, cold and dirty. Never received the breakfast that was promised and the owner was very unapproachable. Room was not secure as there was no way to lock from the outside and the catch on the inside didn’t work. THIS IS NO A HOTEL, IT IS A ROOM IN A HOUSE!!!!

Wedding

Nice room plenty storage space. Tv. Fridge. Private bathroom next door with bath and shower. Breakfast was good had to ask the owner to put the heating down as I was to hot. Owner was very friendly and helpful even said he would take us to the wedding venue if the taxi dident turn. up on time. Would definitely return. A fair price for what you got

Baby it’s cold inside!

Room & bathroom quite spacious but no heating in the latter and electric heaters in bedroom. Breakfast (cereals, yogurt, pastries, orange juice and coffee) eaten in room - knew that on booking. Towels changed every day and bins emptied. Bed was comfortable.
Unfortunately the lack of proper heating (which I believe hasn’t worked for a wee while) rather spoilt our stay. The room/bathroom probably in need of a freshen up, decluttering and good clean in the corners.
Host was especially helpful on the first night but little interaction most of the time.
The distance from the town meant using bus or taxi (the latter about £8 a journey.
The house is in a quiet residential area but could be a little noisy early in the morning and late at night.
Apart from the lack of heating our stay was ok, but probably wouldn’t revisit.
