Welcoming & Comfortable

The room was very comfortable and clean.
The welcome from Lotte at check in was warm and friendly , advising where to park .
Breakfast in the morning was freshly cooked and very tasty

DISAPPOINTING. NOT WHAT IT WAS

We had been to Bistro Lotte several times previously and had always enjoyed our stays. The rooms were comfortable and we were made to feel welcome. How times have changed. From the start, we were greeted by a member of staff who had a very off hand and dismissive manner and there was nothing welcoming about her. We were staying two nights and as there was nowhere to dry towels (and house keeping is now minimal) we asked the housekeeper if they could be changed. She gave us fresh towels but had first to check that this was OK with her superiors. Our room looked tired and in need of attention. It was at the front of the property and noisy at night time. When we checked out, we were not asked whether everything had been OK or whether we had enjoyed our stay. Clearly, they could not care less.

Nice but could be better

We booked this as it looked really lovely with bistro attached. On arrival we checked in at the bistro which was round the corner. The room was clean and comfortable and warm. The bathroom was clean with a good shower. Room was at the top of steep stairs which might be a problem for some. The kettle was full of limescale and the tea and coffee were kept together in a box meaning the tea tasted awful. We got a small bottle of milk which ran out after 2 drinks. The room was not cleaned or restocked for our entire stay of 3 nights so we only had 1 towel each. This hotel could be really lovely with a little more care. The drinks in the room and towels are easily fixed. It felt like once we checked in we were forgotten about. Location is slightly out of the main town but it was a short downhill walk. Car parking was free across the road which was great. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

Our weekend in Frome. Visiting Longleat.

Fantastic super king beds. Lovely food. Friendly staff. Couldn’t fault our stay. Quirky fabulous location. Would highly recommend. Ideal for those travellers going to Longleat. Thank you so much for our stay. Will definitely visit again.

Amazing find!!

Amazing find. Lovely people. Our host was welcoming and managed to accommodate my vegetarian keto diet which isn’t easy at all. The restaurant manager went out of his way to help my Dad get the drink he wanted. Rooms were lovely. Very clean and fab big beds. So happy we chose here. The Bistro has lots of places close by and some lovely independent quirky shops. All the people we met were lovely. Would absolutely recommend this place! Food too was amazing. We all feel thoroughly spoilt.
