Lunch with my son

Dropped in for something to eat this pub is on a busy main road for a pint out doors in a group you probably won’t be bothered with the road inside is a lovely place full of history food hit the mark good ales will be going back

Friendly and very helpful staff. Large room with everything we needed. Clean and comfortable. Good breakfast, excellent ham in the eggs benedict.

We were first to arrive for breakfast. We waited 1 hour to receive our meal. The food, scrambled egg on toast was and a cooked, was OK. Unfortunately we had to eat it quickly and rush on.
The website and reviews share about best breakfast buffet - didn't exist. Menu was one sheet to find at the bar. ... etc

Plenty of available Free parking (either on road outside or car park opposite)
Check in simple, no dramas.
Room spacious, quiet and facing back.
Breakfast to die for. Plentiful and cooked fresh to order using local butchers products.
Staff friendly, helpful and welcoming throughout.

Best breakfast in Gloucester - gluten and non gluten free options

Amazing breakfast - no problem being gluten free, gluten free sausages from a local butcher, gluten free bread from a local bakery and not made to feel like it’s a problem. This is my second visit so can safely say it’s not a one off and they have improved since the first visit with the new bread, great to find a place that’s always trying to improve its gluten free offering. The non- gluten free breakfast seemed to go down well and the dog was made to feel sooo welcome and enjoyed her sausage too!!
