Great place to unwind and be looked after

This lovely little cottage is a great way to unwind, it is comfortable and the two hosts are so welcoming and kind. The breakfasts are very tasty and there is plenty to eat and drink. Nothing is too much for them they treat you like family as you walk through the door.

Five star stay

We only stayed one night but were made very welcome by the hosts, room was extremely clean and very comfortable, breakfast was cooked to our liking as asked before hand to what was our preference, nothing seemed to much trouble. Would definitely stay again and recommend to family and friends.

A lovely place to stay with easy access to many of the places Cornwall is famous for.

Our second stay at Vine Cottage was excellent, as was our first last year. Our hosts Paula and Simon are lovely and we would recommend a stay at their B&B. We booked by telephone to ensure that particular dietary needs were understood and they were, and we had a lovely room overlooking the garden. I am looking forward to visiting them again.

A perfect B& B

We have just enjoyed a couple of nights at lime tree cottage, the hostess was delightful so friendly and the welcome was warm.
Breakfast was wonderful, our twin room was perfect, clean warm and very comfortable.
Love the chickens and thank them for their eggs.
We were over joyed to come home to a hot choc sachet and an Easter egg.

Not if you want any sleep....

The website for this property requires updating. The main page shows a lounge that is no longer in use and hasn't been since Covid. We were told it was down to flood damage..... we should have been told on the phone when calling to book. Another lounge area is also shown in the conservatory, this no longer exists either. Other photographs were also misleading and very dated.
The proximity of the main A390 was the main issue. It is the other side of the fence to the cottage. We stayed on a Sunday night and traffic died down a little 2-4am but otherwise it was like sleeping on the actual road. Trucks, motorbikes and all other vehicles were deafening. Closing the window made no difference. Despite being on Google maps, it is not possible to gage how noisy it actually is here.
We hoped the breakfast may go someway to helping us recover from a sleepless night. However, this was not the case. Scrambled eggs done in the microwave were like rubber, which was such a shame as the hens are located behind the property. Soggy bacon, no baked beans served on a cold plate. No choice of bread given when we ordered and only multgrain was provided.
Overall, disappointing and we cancelled our second night. We paid in full for both nights. We thought it wise not to argue given the owners deminer towards us.

oh dear ,sometimes we get guests in that we could really do without especially when its the busiest weekend in Cornwall and the temperature is hitting over 30 . Just glad when they left . And I think you mean demeaner which was being severely tested but I thought I coped really well in the circumstances. Enough said .
