Weekend away

Fabulous location in the most loveliest village of Grassington
Warm friendly atmosphere
Rooms lovely and clean with complimentary drinks and snacks which was a lovely touch.
Food amazing and all staff incredibly friendly. We had a lovely weekend and will definitely be back. We highly recommend this hotel, you won’t be disappointed.

Great lunch/ delicious food

What a fantastic place to eat in wonderful Grassington.
The burgers were cooked to the perfection. Food presentation and size 5* out of 5! Very friendly and helpful staff. Highly recommended and we will be back.

Great hotel

Fantastic few days at the Black Horse. Great restaurant (make sure you book) and a good selection of cask ales and cocktails. You can select your breakfast items the day before which is very efficient. My wife managed to leave some items in the wardrobe and reception contacted us immediately, and sent them on to us without any fuss.

Lovely hotel, great location but…

Lovely old hotel in a great location, with plenty of character and a slightly quirky feel. The staff have all been pleasant and courteous.
Unfortunately, our visit was rather disappointing. We arrived at lunchtime on a Sunday and were told they weren’t taking any more food orders because of a “backlog”. This was a little surprising as the restaurant didn’t appear particularly busy.
A shame, as we liked the place and would happily have stayed for lunch. Hopefully just an off day.

Lovely Pub with excellent accommodation

Just back from a 2 night stay and I must say it is a great place to stay. Smack in the middle of the village. This is a really well run hotel the breakfast went very smoothly. You order in advance and sit at your table room number and the breakfast is brought out promptly. The rooms are very clean and tidy. There are a few steps and stairs about in the hotel so it’s not really suitable for gas with mobility issues. Overall we would definitely stop again.
