Lovely Hotel
Lovely stay..nice double room on 6th floor..massive bed..tea coffee.biscuits..water in mini fridge..nice toiletries in bathroom..perfect.

Ignor the negatives
Hero now on our 2nd night ,, room lovely bed super comfy staff exceptional breakfast spot on ,, read lots of negative reviews before arrival ,, even brought our own pillows because someone mentioned hard pillows ,, pillows were better than our own ,, would definitely stay again, just two points premium lounge good but not great compared to other hotels nibbles very basic ,, and carpets in the hotel and rooms needs replacing,, not a deal breaker seriously this is a lovely hotel and I’m very particular.

Possibly the best hotel in Harrogate
Second time staying at the Crowne plaza in Harrogate, booked via booking.com. Despite ongoing work on the exterior of the building the hotel is still operating flawlessly, checked us in early for a fee which was reasonable, room was clean, spacious and everything that was required. Ventured out for the majority of our stay but had a couple of drinks in the hotel bar, nice atmosphere. Our stay included breakfast, the food was great, the options were wide ranging and service extremely good. Have already booked to stay again in November. Highly recommended.

Improvements needed
I'll start at the very beginning it's a very good place to start.
Negatives
Only 2 disabled parking spaces at the main entrance. The underground car parking spaces are very narrow.
The bathroom in our room is very outdated and therefore requires an update.
Breakfast was a bit hit or miss. Some coffee machines were out of order, not all items at the buffet were available. English breakfast items were only just warm. Food was at best very average.
Dining area rather dull.
No pen/notepad in room.
Positives
Good position.
Excellent reception that was well staffed.
Friendly staff.
Extra King-size bed that was very comfortable.
Large TV with clear picture in room.
Clean room nicely decorated.
Three lifts.
Relaxed atmosphere.

I’m sorry, however, that several aspects of your stay did not meet your expectations. I appreciate your comments regarding the limited disabled parking, the size of the underground car park spaces, the condition of the bathroom, and your breakfast experience. Please accept my apologies that some buffet items were unavailable, the hot breakfast was not served at the temperature expected, and that some of our coffee machines were out of service. I also note your comments regarding the restaurant ambience and the absence of a pen and notepad in your room.

Car park Crash Nightmare
I went with my friend for some drinks in Harrogate. Room was ok. Hotel was ok. value for money - probably not. Checkin was rude , assumed that I hadn’t paid and was trying to charge me twice when I’d already pre paid online.
The parking was INSANE. I drive a 5 series and it’s a relatively wide car. It was nearly impossible to get into any Bays at all. Pillars taking half the bay out. Most people were parked sideways.
Now unfortunately the exit is even worse. And I was not informed at all , and there was no heads up of how tight it was.
Upon trying to exit there is a tight lift up on the road and then a bending into the left descent. For a normal sized car this would be tight. The 5 series length and width wise realistically could not fit. Unfortunately with no indecation. Lack of markings and a too narrow dip. I’d managed to get stuck on one of my skirts. Causing about £1000 in damage.
Hotel then sent staff down to try and aid. However even with staff guiding the me out carefully the front was then scraped. Proving there was quite literally not enough room.
So just beware before staying if you have a big , low car.
