Disappointed
We felt extremely satisfied on arrival,went out for late dinner and returned back for 10pm... We were at York races the following day... Through the night I was itching and scratching but didn't want to wake my husband... Didn't sleep much... My husband woke around 6ish and I had said I'd had a terrible night not being able to sleep... I put the bedroom light on and shocked to see what was all over the bedding... Blood stains and fleas.. I was mortified.. Jumped straight into the shower to find the shower was leaking all over the floor..which the owner Alex was aware of.. By this time my patience was running thin.. I phoned the owner to tell him the problem he'd got, and asked if he allowed dogs in that apartment.. His reply was yes we allow dogs.. He offered us a full refund and advised me to contact booking.com who I had booked through... After advising him to contact them and sort it out we was then left with nowhere to stay and was due to catch our coach at 9.30 for our day at York races... I feel so disappointed that we have not be contacted by Alex to see how we both are and also to see if we got accommodation for that evening... On return home we have both been on antihistamines and are still trying to get over the ordeal we both suffered.. Bites to our back, head, face, hands, feet..i only hope the room was fumigated and no one else was due in room 2 on the Monday.. We are a couple in our early sixties and have never experienced anything like it before in our life's.. We have photos but wouldn't like to share Thanks for your concern Alex!!!

Very Unhappy
We arrived at the accommodation but could not get in. We could not contact the owner. The owner later admitted that another guest ‘somehow got your keys and used your room’. We tried to book in elsewhere but at short notice ended up paying twice the amount because we were desperate. Not happy at all – this is not a well-run business.
