Sunday lunch with friends at The Jack & Jill Inn

Absolutely outstanding roast dinner from start to finish! The food was beautifully cooked, full of flavour, and clearly made with great care. The roast was tender and delicious, the vegetables were perfectly prepared, and the roast potatoes were wonderfully crispy and golden.
The staff were exceptional—friendly, welcoming, attentive, and genuinely made us feel looked after throughout the meal. The atmosphere was equally impressive: warm, relaxed, and inviting, making it the perfect setting for a fantastic Sunday roast.
Everything came together perfectly, and it was easily one of the best roast dinners we’ve had. Excellent food, brilliant service, and a lovely atmosphere. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be coming back!

Disappointing

It was convenient for a function we were going to. We had lunch when we arrived which was good. However for the price we paid for the room we expected more and were left disappointed. The room was clean but no shower gel. You are given a DIY breakfast. Nothing fresh. However the cups were stained so we left early without even being able to have a hot drink.

Great Sunday roast

We went there for a Sunday roast it's got to be one one of the best Sunday roast i have had for s long time evey thing was fresh and a reasonable price would highly recommend

Overpriced stay

We asked for the price of rooms on the phone when we booked.
The rooms needed to be refurbished and were not too clean.
After our nights stay my son ordered what was called "A Full English breakfast"
It was short of beans, hashbrowns and was a small meal.
I have toast and juice. We were each charged £25.00 each.
The room price was inflated to the quoted price. Expensive for what it was.
Would not go again or recommend it.

Disappointed

We have been to the J&J many times and after a visit to Brighton, thought we would pop in for a drink on the Sunday of the August Bank holiday. Arrived at 12.20pm to be told there was no draft beer available for 10-20mins as they were cleaning out their beer pumps. We left.
We decided to visit, once again, the Friars Oak at Hassocks for a good pint and great service!
We will await the takeover of the J&J
