Lovely stay.

Maureen gave us a very friendly welcome on arrival . Large bedroom with a stunning view. Even had some homemade shortbread with the courtesy tray. Customers had use of a lounge. Breakfast cooked well, delicious and to order. Even had homemade muesli, jam and marmalade.
We will be back.

Welcoming Bed and Breakfast.

Immaculately clean throughout. We stayed in a room at the front which had glorious views accross the countryside. Breakfast cooked to order and served at a dining table with a tablecloth! Off road parking. Maureen and Michael were excellent hosts. Definately reccommend.

A wonderful stay, the greatest host- and a lifesaver!

Maureen was the greatest host. We turned up soaked to the skin after abadoning our bike ride at Cartmel and arriving by taxi. Our amazing host took all our wet clothes and had them perfectly dry for the next day. Not only that but after a perfect stay and wonderful breakfast she drove us all the way back to Cartmel to continue our ride. We couldn't have asked for more.

Nice stay in Brigsteer

Lovely old house 1862, in a gorgeous village with a fantastic pub
The breakfast was delicious and the homemade bread and granola were a lovely touch
Maureen was very friendly
Very Covid safe
The only downside for me, which is due to my own personal taste, is the house is very old-fashioned and I prefer modern bathroom facilities
I can’t say the property needs updating as this would not be in keeping with the age of the house and I would definitely stay there again

Beautiful B&B - great location and views

Maureen was the perfect host, greeting us on arrival ensuring safe distancing and Covid measures were maintained. Throughout our stay she was a pleasure to speak with, offering guidance when discussing plans for the day ahead in the Lake District. The cooked breakfast was delicious and yoghurts, cereal and fresh juice also available. Maureen also bakes her own bread, which was a real treat. The room was great, good size for a four night stay, ample drawer and hanging space, with tea, coffee with a kettle. The bathroom was also a good size and both the room and bathroom were extremely clean. The view from our room (number 3) of the mountains was great. Location wise it was easy to get around the Lake District and the perfect base for us to enjoy our four day trip.
There is also a local pub, The Wheatsheaf, which was a pleasant five minute walk away which served delicious food and ales.
