Hotel Rudyard, great all round.

What a really lovely place. We spent two nights at the hotel and we were not disappointed. The staff are really nice very warm and welcoming. The room was great, really big bathroom with a large shower. We had evening meals and the food and service was excellent. Breakfast was included in the price of the room and offered a good selection of choice, the full english and the vegetarian breakfast were both equally excellent and again service was excellent. All in all a really nice place and ideally located a stones throw from Rudyard lake and some stunning scenery. I would 100% recommend this place and we will definitely return.

Lovely way to spend a Sunday afternoon.

Went for a Sunday carvery had lovely food in a lovely location. Good choice of different meats and veg. Had a very attentive and helpful waitress called Jess.

Just perfect…

There’s no better place in the area if you want friendly faces, a relaxed atmosphere and great food. Yes, it’s maybe a bit dated in some ways but it was just perfect for a base to return to each day. The staff really make this place tick over nicely; always a friendly ‘no problem’ approach, especially Lianna !

Not great experience after a 5 hour drive

The want to go home atttitude at 9pm, no restaurant after 8, bar closing between 9.15/9.30 being told I have to go to bed at 9.30 as they switch off all the lights and want to go home so early, I arrived at 8.30 after a over 5 hour drive and they had no consideration for this, gave me a number for a takeaway then told me I had to take it to my room at 9.30. It’s a little strange way of working, I stay in 3-4 hotels a week and not come across this before, so if you want any advice, if you are arriving after 8.00/8.30 and getting up in the morning to get on the road your far better off staying in a premier inn at half the price. This way you are also in town and can easily have what you want on your door step.
