Excellent Food

I had a meal tonight with family. Everyone really enjoyed the food that they ordered. I had macaroni cheese and salad, it was one of the best ever Mac cheese dishes I've ever had. The staff were excellent as well. Thanks

More appearance than reality.

Positive: the location, the center of Inverness is easily reachable on foot, parking is available, the building looks very pretty from the outside.
Negative: I am only speaking of room 28, the bathroom was newly renovated and had a new curtain and headboard, otherwise everything was old, the carpet was very dirty, with small black curled hairs in the bathroom, the bath bucket was rusty, the bed linens also had hairs and red stains, but it was surely newly made as it did not smell. The room window faced the kitchen ventilation, so it smelled of frying fat and fish during meal times and was quite loud. Unfortunately, there is no other way to ventilate the room. We paid over CHF 300 without breakfast, definitely too much. A small effort would make a big difference, including a simple "Good day" when encountering someone.

Old facilities

A hotel with old facilities and uncomfortable rooms. Every time you exit the room you need to literally go down again to the reception to activate your cards! And by the way, no elevators in the hotel as they claim it’s an old building. I would accept this condition if the hotel rooms were comfortable but it was the wrong choice.

Great hotel stayed here for the weekend of Belladrum in a family room. very friendly and welcoming staff, comfy bed, lovrly bar with good selection of draft beers and IPAs etc. big free car park round the back to park, very walkable to all the sites in Inverness centre thoroughly recommend.

A terrible experience

It is rare that I write a review like this. The hotel's location is good and the parking service is very useful. Everything else was terrible. Room with a freezing temperature. We requested to turn on the heat multiple times, but to no avail. Terrible room cleanliness. Breakfast is almost 20 dollars per person and absolutely not adequate. To conclude, the magnetic key card for the room door was broken for two consecutive days, so every time we had to enter the room, it was necessary to have the reception open it for us. Unfortunately, a terrible experience.
