Wedding day, 28/7/26.

Barton Hall. You are all amazing. We had our wedding ceremony there on Tuesday 28th,July, 2026,and it was fabulous. Nothing was to much trouble for the team and they were all incredibly kind and friendly.
A special mention must go out to Naomi and Shelly. Two very special ladies.
A wonderful day and so many memories to cherish.

Front of House Staff Need Training

We visited Barton Hall to attend a party, staying for one night on a Saturday.
The hotel sits in a handsome building with lovely gardens surrounding it.
We arrived at reception and the two staff members were talking to each other (about a work related issue) and we stood there for about 3 minutes before they even acknowledged us. We don’t expect to be tended too straight away but you should always acknowledge a guess even if it’s just to say we will be with you in a minute. When they finally came to us, the check in process was far from smooth, taking about 15 minutes (despite filling in the express checking form online before arrival)! We were told in quite an abrupt was we had booked on one site rather than another (which wasn’t the case). There was another couple arriving at the same time, experiencing the same issues. The staff were not bad, they were simply untrained in the basics of hospitality.
The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. I wouldn’t call it luxurious but for the price paid (£120) per night it was good value for what you get.
The food at the event we went to was of a food standard and the waiting staff were friendly and accommodating.
Breakfast is only served for a 2 hour window which isn’t ideal either!
To conclude, this hotel really needs to put some time and effort into hospitality training of the staff. If they do, they will have a much better product.

Stayed for a one night stay in July 2026. Every thing went well from booking to check out including bar and dining. There were a School Prom and Weddings going on during our stay but these did not affect us at all. We thought the stay offered good value for money in quality surroundings. The only minor drawback was the electric vehicle charging - there are a dozen or so Tesla charging stations available on site, but if you have a standard Type 2 connector like me you cannot connect to recharge your vehicle.

Fantastic place with exceptional staff

We had the absolute pleasure of attending a garden spa day at this wonderful venue a few weekends back and it was simply perfect. The venue is gorgeous and the two course lunch was so tasty and aesthetically pleasing we both gave it a 5 star. The facilities were wonderful with a steam room, sauna, cold bath and our favourite a hydrotherapy pool, all surrounded by sun beds in a relaxing, peaceful garden courtyard setting. Everywhere was so well looked after and clean. The staff were amazing and in particular Sandra Fredricks who really stood out! Nothing was too much trouble for her and you could tell she really enjoyed her role there and made every guests experience that extra bit special with her personal warm touch. We were just so impressed by this venue and staff that we will be regular visitors and are even considering booking our wedding there!

The hotel is lovely, the staff are very friendly and helpful. We really enjoyed our stay but could not always get access to the spa as it is a separate business and they sell spa packages if they get close to capacity of only 30 they shut the spa to hotel guests.
