High Bank Hotel

Spending time with friends, arrived, staff wonderful. The communal areas really need some TLC. we had a double and two single beds. The room was clean and comfortable. For the price paid, it was excellent value. Would definitely come back. Also regular bus service, which was wonderful, as we’d travelled by coach.

Meh

When we arrived we were shown to our room on the third floor once we entered the room there was cracks in the walls, a missing panel from the bathroom wall and a Tv with no signal but we were able to connect the tv to wifi with settings in the end
The beds were okay but the hotel definitely needs some TLC

i booked this property last minute and paid for a double room there were double rooms available and at first I was given the worst room up 4 flights of stairs when i asked why the staff said that’s all coz other rooms were booked out then i went back n complained he found me a room downstairs wasn’t clean old n worn out furniture stained bed sheets when i arrived there were an english couple who booked the same type of room but were given first class treatment and wasn’t scrutinised like me as i was asked for extra Id and my card details which wasn’t stated in booking I will not book there again as I feel as if Ive been somewhat racially pprofiled staff need proper training in diversity & the hotel needs to be deep cleaned it’s unacceptable for the money

Disgusting, vile, horrible.

We booked this hotel last minute for just 1 night. It wasn't expensive but whatever you pay for a room you expect the room to be clean. How wrong could we have been. The bedding was stained, the pillows were old & flat, the room didn't look like it had been cleaned in weeks, the paint week was filthy, the cups were stained, the tv on the wall was at an angle because the lead was too short to reach the socket properly, it was stretched tight across the chair, as for the bathroom, where to begin. The shower was indescribably filthy to the point I doubt any water would have come out had we used it, there was no lock on the door, the towels felt damp & stunk, there was no loo roll holder, there was no bedside lights meaning we had to get out of a strange bed in a strange place to turn the light off & then navigate back to the bed.
I can honestly say we've never stayed in such a filthy horrible place.
AVOID AT ALL COSTS.

Unclean, less than basic, room smelt like stale smoke and alcohol. No amenities. Staff rude and unhelpful on the phone before arriving.
Would not recommend, or stay again.
