Civic wins for us again,

A neat and tidy hotel with all you need to use as a base to visit London. 30 mins on the Underground next door to Piccadilly Circus. Also uses previously as a great base for Twickenham Rugby events. Always a comfortable and pleasant stay - we've used it 7/8 times.

Wouldn't send the mother in laws it's that bad

We came to this hotel and we were shocked to see the state of the premises firstly we booked a family room and the room didn't have a working TV or running water eventually the staff fixed these issues
The staff were doing the best they could do under the circumstances but it seemed like the owners have allowed the hotel to be delapadated our family room was extremely small and the toilet was even smaller. The corridors of the hotels walls were filthy and the carpets were manky. At one point the window in our room was broken and nearly fell out of the wall honestly I am being kind here but u can only dress up something so much I had good hopes for this place and honestly we had to leave the place on the second night as it was unbearable for us

One could overlook the lack of amenities - IF the customer service was better.

I booked via Priceline for a one night rest before heading to Bristol. The room looked Nothing like the pictures - the guy at the front desk was rude, no elevator and he refused to assist with my bags - also, I was not informed that my pre-paid breakfast ended at 9:00 am - so I missed it by 6:00 mins. So, glad the restaurants and the underground were close by. Hounslow is very quaint - but choose a better place to stay.

Constructive Feedback

Friendly and helpful staff. Room very small, had to climb into bed from the bottom of bed as Bed was up against the wall which is unacceptable in my opinion for a charge of £180 for the night, extortionate in my estimation for what we got.
Nowhere to put your glasses
Or a glass of water, suggest a shelf above on the bed head. Bed however was comfortable, asked for extra pillows, no problem. Location excellent, on bus route and restaurants within walking distance. No bedside lamp, had to put main light off at the door. This should be a single room occupancy not big enough for a couple. Would not book again which is a shame!
