Staff were very helpful. Had a problem with the dual room my son and I had as it wasa in the basement, and London temperatures were around 30 degrees. we decided not to open the windows as we noticed there was a rat poison containere just outside the window, so we couldt open it at night. Very uncomfortable, but next day the problem was solved as we acquired a room on the 2cnd floor thanks to a very helpful manager.
Very handy position in London, but very touristified so take that into consideration. rooms were comfortable.

On 19 July 2026, what should have been a peaceful hotel stay ended in an extremely distressing experience.
I booked the hotel partly because I believed I would be able to use the swimming pool to relax, only to discover after checking in that it was unavailable during the weekend. I then paid an additional £20 for a two-hour late checkout so I could spend some quiet time meditating due to personal bereavement. Despite having proof of payment, staff repeatedly knocked on my door while I was in the bathroom and insisted I leave, claiming there was no record of my payment.
When I showed the Room Services Manager, Rachael, the payment confirmation on my phone, she refused to look at it, told me to leave and instead called security. I was then escorted from the hotel by two security officers as though I had done something wrong, despite repeatedly asking them to verify the evidence and questioning why I was being portrayed as “aggressive” simply for standing up for my rights.
The final part of my stay was consumed by unnecessary confrontation, humiliation and embarrassment instead of the peaceful experience I had paid for. I have requested a full investigation, a full refund of my stay, reimbursement of the £20 late checkout fee, and a formal apology.

Our stay at Imperial College was pleasant. The rooms are basic, but it’s what to be expected from student accommodations the location is fantastic being in the museum district and so close to Hyde park. Could not fault the staff, all very helpful and friendly.

It was good for the money, being in central London right next to the V&A museum and a short walk from Hyde Park. The room was fine and generally clean, but the bathroom was very tired - old tiles, skirting boards a bit tattyband generally a bit run down looking, but clean enough. It is nice how the beds are laid out in a twin room. They're end on end with a divider wall, giving a bit of privacy for each person. There's no air con, but two big fans were provided, which was nice. It was very hot in London while I was there, but the room was bearable with the fans. The worst part was the long walk for breakfast, which is in the Junior Common room. I'm 72 and on an empty stomach in the morning I found it a bit too much of a walk.
Not sure if I'd stay there again. I probably would, but I wouldn't pay for breakfast. I'd go to a closer nearby cafe instead.
