Lovely place

Huge rooms, very clean, great views from our room, really nice owners and a fantastic breakfast. Highly recommended- it is a mile or so out of town so you do need a car really. It’s a lovely old building.

Space! Space! Space!

We were met and shown to our room by Lindsay. We had so much space with a lovely spacious bathroom which housed both a bath and a separate shower. There were large towels and a generous supply of toiletries. As well as the main bedroom we also had a little dressing room with a dressing table and a wardrobe and tea and coffee making facilities. We also had a large cupboard in our room which was great for storing our bags and cases. The bed was comfy and we had a settee to relax on.
Breakfast was plentiful and well cooked. It was nice to have hot toast served with the hot breakfast and a large pot of tea. On a personal level I am not too keen on little cartons of jams and possibly would have preferred to have helped myself to fruit and choice of yogurts. Having said this we couldn't fault Lindsey and Rod's attention to detail and prompt service.
Bungay was a complete surprise to us, it was a lovely little place with some nice shops and a selection of pubs we had a lovely meal at the Fleece and also a fabulous pizza at the Stonehouse. We were well positioned for exploring Suffolk and enjoyed our stay immensely

Bungays little secret

Fantastic beautiful building, lovely location, warm welcome, amazing room and bathroom. Very comfortable bed and 'Alexa' in the room. So nice to have cups and saucers for your tea and coffee. Lovely host and excellent filling breakfast, very special stay. Would definitely recommend.

Excellent Suffolk Bed and Breakfast

We spent two nights at the Old Grain Store (10th/11th July) as we were visiting friends who have recently relocated and they recommended the bed and breakfast. The building itself is stunningly refurbished, plenty or car parking and situated next to a small river.
The room we stayed in was large, well furnished and very clean. The bathroom was large with a good strength shower with tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a large garden and a platform at the edge of the river where you can sit and watch the swan and her signets sat close by. We were even rewarded with the brief sight on an otter at dusk.
There is also a lounge and balcony open to residents that includes Sky TV
The Bed and Breakfast are run by Lindsay and Rob who were helpful, friendly and charming and willing to do anything to help.
Bungay is a good launch pad to explore the Suffolk country side with Beccles just a few minutes away by car and the coast less than half an hour away.

Awesome B&B

Run by two of the nicest people you could wish to meet. This is quality throughout. The rooms are first class, the location is first class and the warm welcome is first class. Breakfast, well let's just say you will not be disappointed! And don't forget to take your rods if angling is your sport! Some very find fresh water fishing on site! Would we book again.... Definitely!
