Breakfast was slow but worth the wait and a great selection of food made to order. Super friendly and informative check in. Beautiful grounds and a big plus to have a pool, although you will need your own pool towels.

Avoid !!!!

The Old Rectory has recently changed hands (what a shame) I can't imagine having a worse meal , cold when served ,meat to tough to chew obviously precooked and kept warm (too long) vegetables served a good five minutes after the main, service slow and sullen, i suspect the new management to blame for this . all in all I would rather pour acid in my eyes than return.
I feel sorry for anyone who has booked a wedding reception .

Inedible main course

Had group Sunday lunch with pre ordered menu. Those who ordered the pork main course were not served the dish ordered. It was a very dry inedible cut of pork with little sauce soggy overcooked mixed vegetables. Although I complained twice nothing was done about it had I not prepaid I would have expected a refund. Others who ordered salmon also were disappointed as were those who ordered the vegetarian dish. The meals were served on cold plates with only two servers for a full restaurant. No manager came following my complaint.

Lovely relaxed experience

Very nice stay for our wedding anniversary ❤️ hottest day ever recorded in the UK and we were lucky enough to be visiting Norfolk lovely pool and outside garden area. Super home cooked fresh breakfast, compliments to the very polite breakfast team, delicious. Loved the pool !

Jess was wonderful

Beautiful hotel lovely location. Our room was brilliant the boys ages 4 and 2 had a bed each which they loved. The sink in bathroom wasn’t emptying kept filling up and wouldn’t drain we tried to report it a few times but every time we went to reception no one was there. We all loved the swimming pool and grounds such a lovely garden.
When we checked in there was two people at reception but I think it was their first day working. It took them awhile to figure out what they were doing. We finally got checked in but we were told we couldn’t have breakfast until 9am the next morning we explained we needed to be on the road at 9am they insisted breakfast started at 9am so my husband and I decided we would miss out on breakfast. The next morning we were all packed up and heading to the car when I saw the restaurant was all set up and people heading to breakfast it was 8am I left everything in the car then told my family to wait for me and went back to check about breakfast.
I met the absolutely wonderful Jess who explained to me that breakfast started at 8am and she said she was sorry that I was given the wrong information. Awww Jess was so lovely she made me feel so welcome. I went and got the rest of my family and went for breakfast it was so tasty so lovely but absolutely so impressed with Jess. She was so kind to us and so so welcoming
In the end mostly because of Jess we had a wonderful stay
